Tonight a bay area city bracing for potentially a new round of violent protests and Police Expect tomorrows protests to be bigger than this one. Good evening. Im veronica de la cruz. Liz is on assignment tonight. Im ken bastida. Berkeley police are not taking any chances tonight. Christin ayers reports they are telling people leave your axes and shields at home. Reporter by 10 a. M. Tomorrow this park is expected to be full of protesters, counter protesters and police for what could be another violent clash over free speech. This is what it looked like the last time there was a pro trump rally in Berkeley Civic Center park. A series of bloody brawls between conservatives and liberals. Today the men who organized that man who organized that rally, rich black, was back in berkeley flanked by what appeared to be bodyguards getting ready for what could be another explosive rally tomorrow. I think theyre just preparing for the worst. Reporter marco gutierrez, a trump supporter, was there march 4th when the protests turned violent. Hes convinced this time will be different but admitted. A member of the Berkeley College republicans told us the group has been targeted repeatedly with graffiti reading behead the bcrs and kill bcr. This is the same targeted harassment we see almost weekly and we dont think the University Takes them seriously. Reporter for tomorrows rally both sides insist the last thing they want is violence. Still hasnt been able to pinpoint the exact root of the problem. Right now passengers have to take shuttle trains between the North Concord and Pittsburg Point bay stations. At North Concord people have to get off the regular trains in San Francisco and get on board shorter trains. Electrical service was knocked out in 22 cars. B. A. R. T. A suspected drunk driver killed a mother and daughter on their way home from church. The deadly crash happened late last night on Great America parkway near highway 101 in san jose. These skid marks show where a suspected drunk driver plowed into a subaru killing 61year old carina bone it i whether or not and her bontilao and her mother 72yearold bontilao. It hit the raised median causing the vehicle to go out of control. Reporter the driver vinod bonthu slammed head on into the subaru. He pretty much lost control. Four people are on liquid diets outside city cal from a group called the hall from a group called the renters rights coalition. They say landlords in san jose often evict people without reasonable cause.
