Chicken, burritos. Another man told us that he expected to pend 200 on his party. An Early Morning fire destroyed a san jose diner. The fire broke ute in the kitchen as broke out in the kitchen as workers were opening up around 6 30 this morning. Were at the restaurant with the name turned out to be all too appropriate. Don . One woman telling us that the loss of this restaurant is a loss for this entire southwest san jose area. The employees arriving here in the Early Morning hours could only watch as their place of employment and their jobs went up in smoke. I was witness of all of it. How do you feel about it . Within 8 to 10 minutes it went to a fourth alarm which is quite a few people, 75 plus personnel, 26 companies. Reporter the grease fire spread rapidly. Cooks ran less than 100 yards to a nearby firehouse but it was already too late. The guys tried to get interior and fight the fire, but it was so much smoke and heat and fire that they pulled everybody out.
