We are going to talk about this 101 commute. This is for commuters leaving menlo park bound for redwood city. There is an accident in the clearing stages. Two left lanes shut down north 101 just before woodside road. So you may see just a brief delay getting through there. Also an accident in the clearing stages out in the tracy area at the 2055 interchange. Details in the next traffic report. It is a green light for a traffic plan years in the making. The idea is to take out two lanes on El Camino Real between san jose and palo alto and make them high speed bus lanes. Kpix 5s keit do is live in sunnyvale to explain how it could affect the commute. The results say that by cutting down the lanes near el camino down to 2 it wont delay drivers on El Camino Real itself. They released this computer animation years ago. It shows what the stretch of 17 miles from palo alto to san jose would look like. There would be bus lanes down the middle of the road. Passengers would board on medians and bike lanes would be added in each direction. Now, planners say it could cut bus travel time in half thereby encouraging more people to ride it. The audit found about 900 vehicles per lane would find somewhere else to go. Mostly diverting on to page mill road at oregon expressway, alma avenue in palo alto and san tomas expressway in santa clara. Yes, traffic will get worse in those areas. They did say they are reviewing Surveillance Video from homes nearby but lets give you a rundown of what happened. Last night, police say an armed man got into a multimillion dollar home on central avenue. The suspect came in through an unlocked side door and a woman was home alone at the time and somehow must have heard or saw the suspect because she yelled at him to leave and he fled. Police said he had something over his face at the time. They searched the neighborhood and all of sausalito using k 9s for more than two hours. The dogs eventually lost the suspects scent and a search was called off. The good news is that the woman inside the home was not hurt and the suspect took nothing. They say several anonymous former Bank Employees at this fruitvale District Branch in oakland came forward accusing the bang of giving black and latino customers subprime loans and failing to explain the risk. Its shocking in 2015 still facing this kind of activity. Reporter oaklands City Attorney says those subprime loans turned into foreclosures and those foreclosures didnt just affect borrowers. The city suffers devastating losses as a result of these predatory loans. Reporter losses when Property Values declined and more losses in Police Overtime as instances of blight and crime cropped up. In a statement wells fargo said the City Attorneys accusations do not reflect how we operate in the communities where we do business. But rachel says the allegations have her considering her options. In oakland, Christin Ayers, kpix 5. The City Attorney says wells fargo owes oakland millions. She is also asking that the courts order the bank to stop discriminatory practices. Its going to be tough for landlords to raise rents and evict tenants in San Francisco. Yesterday, supervisors passed new protections for tenants. The bill makes it harder for landlords to evict tenants for minor violations without giving them a chance to correct the violations.
