New this morning, a store clerk is in serious condition after a robbery and shooting after an antioch 7eleven overnight at a Convenience Store on lone tree way near hillcrest. Police were at the scene collecting evidence. The clerk was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown at this time. The store manager says he had recently immigrated from india. Two forensic scientists are accusing the San Joaquin Sheriffs Office of mishandling an excavation of remains of the victims of the speed freak killers. They alleged the dig in 2012 didnt follow industry practices and most of the remains were fractured using heavy equipment. Thats according to filings in a lawsuit by a family of one of the victims. The Sheriffs Office is defensing its handling of the remains. A threeday manhunt ends with a suspected murderer in custody. It happened on massachusetts avenue in redwood city yesterday evening. Anthony kirincic is accused of stabbing his girlfriend 34year old colleen straw to death in her san mateo home. Kirincic had been on the run since friday. Police tracked down his car at an urgent care clinic on saturday and found him last night at a relatives home in redwood city. He is charged with firstdegree murder. Several legal groups will be calling for transparency and accountability for San Francisco police bodyworn cameras at a meeting today. They are against allowing officers to review body camera footage prior to authorizing a report in certain circumstances. The groups include the Bar Association of San Franciscos criminal task force and the aclu. Tomorrow the San Francisco Police Commission is expected to approve guidelines for body cams. And tonight Berkeley City Council will take a final vote on new sidewalk rules that are likely to affect the citys homeless. The proposed ordinances would restrict people from carrying items that take up more than two square feet of the sidewalk and ban people from attacking personal items to trees and public infrastructure. We know the male victim suffered from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Two north bay lawmakers requested the results of the latest testing of crabs for domoic acid. The crab season has been on hold since november 15 after the department of Public Health determined the levels of the neurotoxin in crab pose a health risk. One of the difficulties in predicting how long the ban will stay in place is that acid levels have fluctuated in some areas instead of moving steadily down. As homeowners are finding out solar panel investments are not paying off because they are not county toward the states goal of using 50 Renewable Energy by the year 2030. This accident happened about 11 20 last night involving a wrongway driver hitting a big rig and we had multiple lanes shut down overnight for accident investigation. Lanes are now open. And the sig alert has been lifted for southbound 101 approaching and passing the central san rafael exit. We have had slow traffic on the bay bridge. A car stalled out and was struck by another vehicle. And as a result we have had slow traffic heading across the bay bridge. All of this happened westbound 80 just beyond the island. So be prepared for backups now on the bridge and take a look at the toll plaza. It doesnt take much to back up this commute. It is already slow from about the 880 overcrossing.
