Bay bridge toll plaza, backup in the cash lane there but otherwise headed into San Francisco looking good, carquinez bridge to the maze will take you about 20 minutes. The dunbarton bridge, another high wind advisory headed from fremont into the peninsula and another high wind advisory across the span of the san mateo bridge. Thankfully there werent any major issues in the burn zone. Authorities are investigating an officer involved shooting in vallejo. Police say they shot the suspect after he pointed a rifle at them. It happened last night at the starbucks on lincoln road. Kpix5s jackie ward is live there with details. Jackie. Reporter michelle, that suspect is in Critical Condition right now after being shot by Police Officers and this is where it all started, just before 9 00 last night when two Police Officers were in this starbucks on lincoln road, they saw a man enter the coffee house with what Police Describe as an assault style weapon with a high capacity drum magazine. Police say the man tried to use his gun but it seemed to jam up. Thats when the officers drew their weapons and the suspect fled out of the starbucks and onto magazine street. Down in the ditch, we are going to need a couple officers here. Dont know if he still has the rifle or if he dropped it along the way. Reporter the Police Chased the armed suspect close to the intersection of magazine and sheridan streets. Police say he continued to post his pose his weapon as a threat to them so they shot him three times before he fell. When arrested police found an additional handgun on him. He was also wearing body armor so hes currently being treated for life threatening injuries right now at a nearby hospital. The two Police Officers involved went uninjured in this case. Business at the starbucks is totally normal this morning. We will learn more about what happened last night at a press conference. In vallejo, jackie ward, kpix5. The man who reportedly shot a San Francisco Police Officer in the head has died. He was involved in a shootout with police in the lakeshore neighborhood friday night. Officers were called to the Lakeshore Shopping Center on reports of a man making threats. The suspect reportedly shot at officers when they confronted him. Officers chased after him and shot back. The officer who was shot is in Critical Condition. The man accused of kidnapping and killing sierra lamar four years ago finally goes on trial today. Jury selection is set to begin today in the murder case against this man, Antolin Garcia torres. He is accused of abducting the 15yearold in march of 2012 as she walked to the school bus stop. Even though her body was never found, investigators say they do have dna evidence linking Garcia Torres to her disappearance. If hes convicted, he could face the death penalty. A Community Comes together after an 88yearold woman was badly beaten inside of her home later dying from her injuries. Reporter Florence Douglas, miss flo, was badly beaten inside her home during an invasion and robbery last month where a teenaged suspect is accused of also stealing her jewelry and her car. And people in the Community Say they are hoping to honor her by making a difference, getting training by police in order to make their neighborhood a safer place. Reporter well, ann, the starbucks is open this morning, its welcoming its customers as if Nothing Happened last night. But just hours ago a man entered the starbucks with what Police Describe as an assault weapon and tried to fire it at two officers who were inside. The gun seemed to jam up but thats when the officers threw their weapons and the drew their weapons and the suspect fled out of the starbucks and onto magazine street. You could hear the officers on the scanner pursuing the suspect. Came up to the glass with a rifle at us and it jammed, i think, he took off running, and we have him down here on the magazine street. Police were called to a house early yesterday morning when a man was reportedly making death threats. Officers say they tried to arrest the suspect outside but he started swinging a metal rake at them. They say they tried to tase him but he still wouldnt stop and thats when they shot him. The brutal beating death of an 88yearold woman in a Santa Clara County neighborhood is sparking change. Dozens of people signed up for Neighborhood Watch training looking to make their town a safer place. Sandra osborne is live outside of the san jose Police Department where they say its the biggest training they have ever seen. Sandra. Reporter good morning, michelle. Yeah, more than 100 people signed up for this Neighborhood Watch training, definitely a big outcome for the training they have seen, definitely want of the big one of the biggest outcomes they have seen for that. They say its to honor Florence Douglas, also known as miss flo in this area. After her attack and her death, neighbors say its time to get out and do something about the crime. In miss flos tragic case, thats how the Sheriffs Office was alerted, was a neighbor noticed her car not in its normal place, went over to miss flos house, just didnt let that pass. Reporter the 88yearold was brutally beaten last month during a Home Invasion and robbery. A teenaged suspect is accused of stealing her car and jewelry after attacking the woman. She later died from those injuries. Since then neighbors have been installing flood lights and cameras and now they are getting help from local officers and deputies to learn security tips to make sure Something Like this does not happen again. Right now hundreds of people are without power here in the bay area because of this weekends storm. Pg e says most of those outages are in the south and east bay. They have extra crews on the clock trying to get that power fully restored. And the weekend rain also caused messy roadways for drivers, as you can see the rain made it tough to read highway signs on 280 in san mateo. And on 101 in San Francisco the rain pooled, flooding the two right lanes southbound near paul avenue. The chp had to shift drivers over to the left. According to the National Weather service, San Francisco got a total of 1. 8 inches. Oakland 1. 76, and a gauge in the Santa Cruz Mountains recorded about 10 inches of rainfall. Roberta has been keeping track of all that rainfall as well. Active weekend. Authorities are investigating an officer involved shooting in vallejo. Police say they shot the suspect after he pointed a rifle at them. It happened last night at the starbucks on lincoln road. Kpix5s jackie ward is live there where details. Jackie. Reporter and michelle, that man is now in Critical Condition in a local hospital and this is where it all started, just before 9 00 last night. Two Police Officers were inside this starbucks on lincoln road. They saw a man enter the coffee house with what they describe as an assault style weapon with a high capacity drum magazine. Police say the man tried to use his gun but seemed to jam up. Thats when the officers drew their weapons and the suspect fled out of the starbucks and onto magazine street. Down in the ditch.
