What theyre really worried about is the amount of rain thats going to fall with this storm in this short amount of time and we are seeing puddling in the streets now an indication that its been raining here for quite some time. Now what theyre really concerned about, though, is the coastal bluff down the street from me where they really saw some erosion earlier this year during the el nino storms that forced the city to declare a state of emergency. They also demolished an Apartment Building before it went over the cliff and they redtagged a building. We also saw this seawall breach as well during one of those storms and public works crews say they have those repairs nearly complete. Although they cant control the weather, they say all they can do is stay on top of things. What we have been doing maybe the last three or four months is [ indiscernible ] with the storms monitoring our coastal bluffs along with our seawalls, spillways, making sure theres no debris flow in our streets, that kind of thing. Reporter all right. So what they say they are really concerned about are storms with heavy rain, a storm with heavy rain, or storm after storm, um, that comes through here because they say that is when, um, the ground becomes saturated and thats when they see erosion. But they say throughout this weekend, they are going to have crews on standby. They are going to be working with police and Fire Departments as well just in case something bad happens here. They say they are going to be ready and prepared. Live in pacifica, maria medina, kpix 5. You can continue to track the storms on our website, cbssf. Com.
