New this morning, a woman is dead after a shooting in west oakland. Now police still looking for the gunman. The woman was shot at around quarter to 6 00 last night near Market Street and west grand avenue. She died at the scene. Police have not released her name or any information on a possible suspect. And Emeryville Police are investigating a shooting outside an emeryville hotel. That happened around 9 00 last night in the parking lot of the Hyatt Place Hotel across the street from the bay street shopping center. Witnesses tell investigators at least two men were shooting at each other from two different cars before they drove away. No injuries reported. Right now in san jose, a manhunt is under way for two Home Invasion suspects who opened fire sending two people to the hospital. This happened just after 10 00 at a home on peach court off mclaughlin here in san jose. Police say the two men forced their way into that home, had some sort of confrontation with two people inside before they shot them and then took off. We spoke to one man who lives across the street. I heard that couple people tried to break in there and they had guns and they shot my stepson and his friend each in the leg. Reporter you can imagine its put that neighborhood on edge. Now, those two victims who were shot were taken to Regional Medical center. They are expected to be okay. But still so many questions in the case. Reporter anne, the Solano CountyDistrict Attorney dropped a dui charge against a fairfield man even though she Still Believes he had drugs in his system. However, blood tests were negative for every drug except caffeine. Solano County District attorney abrams believes there was another drug in his system but it didnt show up in the test. Toxicology experts say synthetic marijuana, performanceenhancing drugs like steroids and designer stimulants like bath assaults are rarely tested for in a dui blood test. So you could test for more drugs . Absolutely. Because then we would know what was in his system. Reporter abrams decided to drop the dui charge because she believes they cant proceed without a reasonable doubt. The defendants Attorney Says he is relieved.
