If you are heading to the beach this memorial day weekend you may want to steer clear of one bay area beach that was just deemed the dirtiest in california. Cowell beach in santa cruz is on top of the heel the bays beach bummer heal the bays beach bummer list which looks at water quality. They say its so polluted that people shouldnt even touch it. Other bay area beaches on the list include sunnyvale cove at Candlestick Point and Pillar Point Harbor in san mateo county. All right. Those are the ones to avoid. Look at the entire month of may so far versus whats normal or average for this time of the year and we are still above average. Its been so chilly the past couple of weeks but santa rosa, San Francisco and livermore only a degree or two above average and san jose is exactly average. Well be well above average the next 7 to 10 days. Vallejo tonight 52. San jose 51. San francisco 53. Away from the water only 30 or 40 miles away, its more of a north to northeast wind. An offshore wind or very limit onshore flow. And it will be much warmer. We certainly will see a scenario this weekend. Well have a couple of up 50s at the beach but likely the low 90s toward antioch and napa. So sunny warm weekend for all. A ridge of High Pressure is actually closer and stronger than we first thought. So rather than topping out at the mid80s, some of you away from the water will hit the low 90s for all three of your Holiday Weekend days. So tonight, watch out for some fog and low cloud cover anywhere near the water. Well all be warmer tomorrow compared to today except at the beach. Temperatures above average for the entire weekend. We will see a few isolated 90s inland. Most of the bay area is in the 80s or cooler but some spots between 90 and 92. Warmest day memorial day. As we head towards middle of next week, a little bit of cooling but certainly Mother Nature is right on time. That summer feel and summertime temperature spread here just in time for the weekend.
