At 74 years old, he suddenly died today according to the chronicle of multiple organ failure. The rock and roll legend and Founding Member of Jefferson Airplane and ultimately jefferson starship. He pioneered the San Francisco sound of music in the 60s some of the big songs youre listening to now somebody to love and also white rabbit. And because of all that he did at Jefferson Airplane did for the music industry, he and his band were going to be honored this year by the Recording Academy getting a Lifetime Achievement award a. Some of my friends said we are just making fun of white trash but i was like no but like either way you put youre still making fun of a whole like culture like. And the fact that kids care about this, the fact that kids want to change this, thats whats different. Even though our students step off this campus, we still they still represent st. Ignatius because they are educated by us so thats why. They didnt mean to hurt anyone but, like, in the end it really did, like, impact a bunch of people in our community. Reporter so si suspends 14. There were plenty of other schools represented. Richmond police say a parent hit and killed their twoyearold girl while pulling out of a driveway around 2 30 this afternoon on beck near south 35th. Police say either the mom or dad was driving a red truck out of the driveway to go somewhere. Somehow, the 2yearold baby girl got out of the house and ran in front of the truck. The child may have been trying to chase after the parent who was leaving to probably say goodbye. But unfortunately the vehicle is large. The child is small in stature. I think the visibility really, um, there was the parent probably didnt see the child. As you can imagine, the entire family is devastated and officers were Holding Back Tears at the scene. The Police Officers dont believe alcohol or drugs were involved. They say this appears to be a tragic accident. They dont think the parent will face any charges. Also tonight, osha investigating a freak construction accident in San Francisco. A worker was run over by a construction roller on 18th avenue. The man was on a road project when he fell under the equipment to use the surfaces. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The dmv setting up roadblocks for selfdriving cars. Automakers want the public to buy them up once the technology passes prototype test. But transportation officials worry unmanned cars are too dangerous. A hearing was held today to draft up some regulations. These rules will govern self driving cars when they are available to the public. New legislation to make diapers more affordable. Lawmakers unanimously approved a measure yesterday to exempt childrens diapers from sales tax. A second bill that passed would give a 50 credit to welfare recipients so they can buy diapers for their children. Both bills now head to the senate. Talking about that a little bit earlier.
