Reporter you hear that a lot when you talk to people, especially up in the Santa Cruz Mountains that typically gets a lot of rain, in a short period of time during the winter months, but what they fear even more than flooding is the threat of fire during the dry season this summer. Gabrielle lopez is charged with battery resulting in a serious injury officers arrested him friday in richmond. Hes accused of attacking a referee after he was ejected after a game. The referee was punched in the side of the head. He suffered a broken jaw and he lost several teeth. A woman was violently attacked over the weekend after getting into the wrong car. This happened outside a nightclub on the tomah and fifth street and seven cisco. Police say she mistakenly got into a car thinking it was one she had ordered on a rideshare app. The stranger behind the wheel drove her to bark blocks before attacking her. She fought back and managed to drop out. The driver described as the man in his 60s sped off. The family of a man who died after being put in handcuffs wants to reopen the case. One of the officers put his knee in his back, and the lower back, and one other was pressing my brother to check if he was breathing. Reporter was he taking drugs . No. They are killing me. They were very irresponsible not to give him cpr right away. Reporter the case has been taken up by the courage c ampaign, a Progressive Political network with over 1 million members. The campaign has launched an internet petition drive calling for the case to be reopened. Over 70,000 people have signed, its one of the more viral petitions we have had recently. We do know it has a 10 year lease on the property, and a no compete clause which says if it is not here, the landlord cannot run to another Grocery Store. We have been here a year, and ive heard a lot of talk that we have not seen any real results. We do not have a drug store downtown, nor a Grocery Store downtown. We are building more housing downtown. Its something that is really needed. How can you walk around town to get the things you need, go back home . In Multicultural Group organized the meeting because it believes that high rents have forced many people to leave the city. The mercury news reports the system is facing nearly 7 million in unpaid fines across its 23 branches. About 39 of all San Jose Library cardholders about 187,000 people old money. City leaders are considering ways to solve a problem. The ideas include reducing the fines and creating an amnesty problem program. Has of this morning, the lake was 68 full, the feds say they need to keep folsom about 60 capacity in the winter months to prevent flooding. We are not doing too bad right now, right paul . We are doing better, the drought will not end this year, but we are getting what we want, building up that reserve and those reservoirs.
