Reporter we are live here in santa clara at the registrar of voters where today workers began a ballot recount. All ballots over the state of california have to be counted and finished by december 9. That means many places have workers working seven days a week. But despite all that effort there are still allegations of voter fraud. Very absurd. No basis to it. Reporter they say these are symptoms of a foodborne illness but they will not say exactly what it was. They also imply that the victims are elderly but they are not saying that out loud. About 800 people came here for thanksgiving dinner at. On friday and saturday, eight people got very sick and checked into the hospital put hospital. Three of them died at Sutter Delta Medical Center , four were released. They are now investigating. All of the victims eight at the same dinner and they all of at the same assisted facility assisted living facility. We are interviewing people that we know were ill and were also trying to find people who felt sick but maybe did not seek any healthcare. So where try to get the word out to people that attended the dinner to let us know if they were ill. Reporter Officials Say it was sponsored by the Golden Hills Community church. Police are not releasing the names of victims nor the name of the assisted living facility. Reporter the man has been identified behind the attack at Ohio State University as a student, Abdul Razak Ali artan. Police say the 18yearold drove his car into a crowd of pedestrians monday morning, then jumped out of the car and began stabbing victims with a butcher knife. We got a call at 9 50 2 am. A few seconds later and officer called out saying he was in trouble and a man had a knife. Reporter University Police officer alan horujko was nearby and took action immediately, shooting and killing Abdul Razak Ali artan one minute after the incident began.
