You can see that i am hanging on to the railing as we look over the ocean here at pacifica. Because if i dont and one of those wind gusts come our way it would blow me away. Along the pacifica pier, fishermen who thought they could get away with wearing a poncho had something to deal with, the whipping wind. Its rainy and windy. Reporter winds between 20 Miles Per Hour and gusts of up to 45 Miles Per Hour. Gusts so strong they almost knocked me over in the middle of our interview. You see its so windy. Reporter in other parts of pacifica, public course crews set up a system to pump water into the ocean so it doesnt flood the homes. Other crews are monitoring a sink hole. The hole appears to be getting bigger after it was filled last month. Next door high winds and waves continue to pound the eroding cliff under esplanade avenue. And start building. Reporter that january 17th Ground Breaking includes an 18,000 seat arena plus officers and restaurants all perched next to the San Francisco waterfront. This is going to be a Union Project with thousands of good paying jobbing, local jobs, local hires. Its going to be great for the area. Reporter one place the arena is not good news is oakland. Which has been home to the arena since the 1970s. Its very unfortunate were moving across the bay. Reporter San Francisco does have a worldwide reputation. Much bigger than that of oakland. They want to control their own destiny. Reporter the warriors are paying for it all. This will be the first privately financed sports arena or stadium on private property in the modern era of sports. Reporter and that could mean some pretty hefty ticket prices for warrior fans. So what is it going to cost to build this thing . As i said, were going to go step by step on this. The renovation of that arena which gives you an idea of how much these facilities cost and how often we taxpayers are involved in paying for it. Today crews fixed a movable barrier on the span. The barrier was installed two years ago to separate northbound and southbound traffic. And the Water District here takes full advantage of it. The marin municipal Water District relies on the frequent rain that falls on lake tam that uses connected lakes rather than one large reservoir. The last four or five years weve been one of the few water agencies probably in the entire state who have managed to get its reservoirs full everyone though the rainfall has still been below normal. Reporter at Lake Lagunitas the to date water measurements is just below normal. Todays storm should seal the deal. Meaning all the Water District lakes will be completely full. The Stadium Authority as you mentioned met behind closed doors for several hours this afternoon. They were trying to decide whether to sue the city. The mayor says they still dont have those documents but apparently couldnt decide what to do about it.
