It began at 55th and fairfax avenue when the officers tried to stop a suspicious car. The driver got out at 105th and eads avenue and hid in a yard for hours. We are told the car was linked to a Home Invasion robbery back on july 12th. They called in the sheriffs office. After hours of searching the deputy spotted a man and fired 8 shots killing him. Neighbors say that Law Enforcement may have overreacted. So, we know there were firearms. A firearm associated to this crime. A level of concern. He was a suspect but in a car two weeks ago . Both oak land police and the Sheriffs Department are investigating the shooting. No Law Enforcement officers were hurt. The deputy involved is on standard leave tonight. A proposed state law could allow family members, therapists or doctors to take guns away from people they consider a danger. The bill was prompted by an attack in may that left 6 people dead including the shooter near uc santa barbara. A state Senate Committee will consider the law tomorrow. Several other states already have similar regulations on the books. Unrest in the middle east sparked a pro israel rally today in San Francisco. Now, reports of loud booms heard near the reservoir, signaling a potential failure of the dam. The state engineers areipspecting ip are inspecting the dam just to see how bad it is. They found part of the rock footing, holding one side of the dam, had broken. Allowing the water to leak through. Now, the lake level is lowered about 1015 feet. Putting the lake surface belowed the cracks area. We are surface below the cracks area. We are told that downstream from the dam is flooded. I spoke to the sheriff and he tells me there have been a series of reverse 911 calls to let all of the residents affected to know what is going on, back to you. The flash flood warnings posted in Southern California and with low pressure that is kicking all of the moisture up, it is heading north. The low is placed somewhere in east central california. It puts it in a perfect position to fetch moisture. All of the way from the southland, over the top of the low. And then close to the bay area. So, it is we at least get clouds and there is a possibility of showers tomorrow night, favoring the north bay and parts of the east bay. And that chance will continue into tuesday morning, it is an interesting situation being set up the models are lousy. So, stay tuned on this. This is one of the models.
