And its been working really well except were still anticipating a little light to moderate flooding around the napa area. This is what we are forecasting for the napa river in napa. Flood stage is 25 feet. Today cresting at 26. 1 which means there will be moderate flooding on the secondary roads which we have already seen, the silverado trail with a good mudslide. 37. 6 which means well see flooding around parkers resort, also brookside resort and perhaps even some of the local businesses. And napa river in saint helena, some of the folks in deer park and angwin tell me this is their major commute into the napa area. Silverado trail is the alternate. Thats closed. We have currently evacuated 29 people. 22 are at a red cross shelter and 7 more are on the way. Um we got, um, lovers lane closed between niles canyon closed between palomares road and fremont. And that means southbound 680 is moving slowly. Ill send it to you. Meanwhile, Santa Cruz County has been so hard hit by mudslides and fallen trees that officials have declared a state of emergency. They are hoping money from the state will cover costs. Workers have been tied up for hours on end clearing trees and power lines from roadways. A suspect is in custody and a child is safely reunited with his mother after a brief car theft in san leandro. Investigators say the 4year old was in a car yesterday morning when his mother briefly went inside their cherrywood avenue home with another child. San Leandro Police say thats when 44yearold jason sill ba stole the vehicle. The car was found a short time later in oakland with the child inside and silva was later arrested. Governor brown is outlining the next budget plan. He hopes to raise 43 billion over the next 10 years from new taxes and fees. Yesterday he proposed a new 65 fee on all vehicles that would be on top of the 10 fee that starts in april. Well, overall, Governor Brown says that 2017 will be the tightest year since 2012. He is warning of budget cuts as the state has seen a decline in revenue. The governor is asking for a 122. 5 billion budget for the state. And muni officials in San Francisco say the signs predicting arrival times should be accurate for most trains. The agencys next muni system started showing Incorrect Information last tuesday. And thats when muni Service Providers upgraded from 2g to 3 g before muni could make that change on all of its vehicles sending data. Fixing arrival times for the citys buses is expected to take a few more weeks. So at least the trains are showing progress but not the buses yet. Scotts valley highway 17 between vine hill and glenwood cutoff down to one lane each direction and as you can see the northbound side of 17 very, very slow at just 5 Miles Per Hour. So if you can, give yourself a lot of extra time to get through the area. Los gatos a mudslide as well from overnight mudslides so be careful out there as you head out the door. Ill send it to you. It continues to rain today and we anticipate flooding in guerneville at the Russian River when it crests at 37. 6. We have already seen some minor toed mo rat flooding and now moderate to significant flooding anticipated today. Napa river in napa floodgates working really well. We still have moderate flooding on secondary roads due to 26. 1 cresting later this afternoon. And also the napa river in saint helena cresting very close to flood stage. Well keep a watchful eye on that as well live hidef Doppler Radar, its still raining outside this morning. In some areas, the pockets are pretty moderate. This cell just moved out vigorously. It was in marinwood just moved across the bay towards the eastern portion of our bay area. We have had hitandmiss scattered showers around rock city at mount diablo, tassajara through blackhawk into alamo. Around the peninsula this morning, east palo alto, menlo park, look at this cell right here over North Fair Oaks in redwood city. All this is trying to lift north. Scotts valley more rain slated for today. Peninsula again i had a little cell over the san mateo area, its drifting over the san mateo bridge east towards hayward. San francisco, youre dry right now but more light rain in the forecast. Some of the plastic animals sitting in a dirty bath of river runoff. Most lowlying areas in Sonoma County are under some water today. It is going to get worse before it gets better. The Flood Warning remains in effect and the latest estimate is that the Russian River will crest at 37. 6 feet later today.
