We are just learning and improving on that and i think on this parade route youll see hydration stations first aid stations, we were able to map it out a little bitter and have those stations in place to bring safety and to care for those who are spectating and par at this time pay thing in this parade. Something to think about is that, um, for those who arent going to the parade, this is going to severely impact their morning commute along bart or 880 or any of the downtown oakland streets because theres so many street closures and theres reduced parking. Parking is very limited. So just keep that in mind and if you are not traveling to the parade, give yourself plenty of time getting to work in morning because its going to be jam packed. People overnight have left signs, flowers, candles and some of those candles still burning at this hour. Less than 24 hours ago this was the scene of chaos and tragedy. U. P. S. Workers were gathering for a morning meeting when a fellow worker opened fire. San Francisco Police say 38 yearold jimmy lam shot and killed 3 coworkers and turned the gun on himself. The shooting triggered a shelter in place for the potrero hill neighborhood and hundreds of u. P. S. Employees streamed out as panic spread across the facility. Among the victims who died, 56 yearold wayne chan, also have pictures of two of the other victims, 50yearold San Francisco resident benson louie and 46yearold hercules resident Michael Lefiti who was affectionately known as big mike. He spoke to a Good Samaritan who was with mike as he took his last breath. He said what he had to say, he loves his family, he loves his children. And you know, he didnt do anything to this man, you know, he doesnt understand why he shot him. Reporter two other victims were taken to the hospital and survived. Police dont know if the shooter knew his victims. Now, they do tell us that the shooter did file a grievance felt like he was being overworked but still its unclear what the motive for this shooting was. This as louisiana congressman Steve Scalise remains hospitalized in Critical Condition. He was shot in the hip wednesday while practicing for the charity game with fellow republicans. The shooter has been identified as James Hodgkinson of southern illinois. The 66yearold was shot and killed by officers after wounding 5 including scalise. Prosecutors say Yarenit Liliana Malihan was on drugs when her suv rearended another car the child was in. Right now, the manhunt is in intensifying for two georgia prison escapees. The two men overpowered and killed two Prison Guards on a transport bus Tuesday Morning and then carjacked a motorist. They have since ditched that car and stolen a truck. California lawmakers set to vote on a spending plan today now that they have reached a deal on the state budget for the fiscal year coming up. The deal they struck will add money to the states reserve and expand a tax credit for low income families. Also, tucked away in the state budget, new provisions for marijuana which will allow home deliveries. This comes as browns administration is working to merge the states new voter approved Recreational Marijuana law with the longstanding medical marijuana program. The Legal Marijuana business is worth more than 5 billion in california. Thats according to a study from the university of california. Researchers say currently the state is bringing in about 2 billion per year in medical marijuana sales. Sales in the illegal market are worth about 6 billion. Its expected that the legal market could bring the state another 1 billion in tax revenue. Muni is getting a little less colorful.
