Hospitals and county managers declined to comment on the doctors concerns. But one other physician said the problems can be traced to cost cutting and dollar stretching. Health care decisions are being made by people with no medical training based on spreadsheets that have dollar signs on them. San francisco district 6 supervisor matt dorsey says he is asking the city to help residents find housing and resources to help with their researches. Cyclists in Sonoma County are protesting a decision to put fences up along a portion of joe rodota trail. County Officials Say they put them up due to a safety concern from a homeless encampment along that trail. Today cyclists rallied outside of the county building, calling for the trail to be reopened. They say its unfair to pit them against homeless when they asked for it to be closed in the first place. The county is consumed with fears about liability for everything. So i have to assume that that was in the forefront of their mine. One of the challenges theyve seen is once an encampment gets established and there is a certain number of people, you kind of hit a threshold where it starts to snowball really quickly and its known as the place to go. And thats what we want to avoid. The county says their shelter space is already over capacity. The cyclists are urging county officials to designate a safe camping area for the homeless residents. New at 6 00, the Foster City Council is moving ahead with the plan to get rid of up to 100 geese. The council says the geese have been leading to poor Water Quality and Health Concerns in the city parks. The next step is for the city to apply for permits to remove those geese. The city says while the permit will allow them to kill some of the geese, they are going to work to find nonlethal alternatives. Tonight in the south bay, parts of sunnyvale and santa clara will be sprayed with insecticide. This after crews found mosquitos that tested positive for west nile virus. The spraying begins at 11 p. M. And will last for about four hours. Residents do not have to leave during the treatment. Vector control says it poses minimal risk to people, animals and the environment. Its going to be slowing down traffic in both directions. Extra high clouds over the next couple of days. Just a tiny amount of monsoonal moisture trying to sneak up towards us. Not enough. Not nearly enough for any threat of dry thunderstorms, anything like that. Just a little cloud cover floating through. Some changes by the end of the workweek. Its going to be a little cooler, but the storm system making its way towards the coast in the pacific northwest, its not going to squeeze out anything more than coastal drizzle. But its going to allow the marine layer to get deeper and deeper and push farther and farther inland. We should see our temperatures returning close to normal levels. You are one of the warm spots around the bay area. 85 in liver more. But 73 in santa rosa. Really nice this evening. The fog does push inland. Reduced visibilities to begin the day wednesday. That fog dissipates rapidly for inland spots with the fog backing up to mid to late morning and backing up to the coast as we head towards lunchtime and into early afternoon. Temperatures tonight dropping down to start off wednesday. Mostly in the 50s. A few 40s in the north bay valleys. A few 60s farther east around antioch and brentwood, but close to normal temperatures. Normal means its going to be a little too farm for an afternoon walk for roxy in novato, especially with all that black fur. Temperatures reaching up into he low 80s. Er times. Worries with comforta cool temperatures. For tomorrow, were going to be all over the place. Typical july day in the bay area. Anywhere from 61 in pacifica to 95 in antioch. Mostly 60s and 70s around the bay. Mostly 80s and lower half of the 90s farther inland. The hottest spots reaching up to the mid90s. Below 100 degrees in the month of july. Well take that for as long as it wants to stick around, and it will for the next seven days. Very few changes day to day. Friday the coolest da any the sevenday forecast. But just a few degrees below average around the bay. And close to average temperatures farther inland. Back up into the mid 80s for san jose by saturday and sunday. The weekend hot spots will be no surprise. Inland to the east bay around 90 degrees. Which isnt that hot. And we drop down to slightly below average temperatures by monday and tuesday. It might feel a little more mugginess in the air by monday and tuesday. Thats something were watching in the longrange. But thats a long way down the line. Not going worry too much about it yet.
