County Officials Say they put them up due to a safety concern from a homeless encampment along that trail. Today cyclists rallied outside of the county building, calling for the trail to be reopened. They say its unfair to pit them against homeless when they asked for it to be closed in the first place. The county is consumed with fears about liability for everything. New at 6 00, the Foster City Council is moving ahead with the plan to get rid of up to 100 geese. The council says the geese have been leading to poor Water Quality and Health Concerns in the city parks. The next step is for the city to apply for permits to remove those geese. The city says while the permit will allow them to kill some of the geese, they are going to work to find nonlethal alternatives.
