Running towards the police. It started when someone reported the suspicious man and when police questioned him, he drove away after driving over spike strips. The suspect tried to ram an officer with his car, who jumped out of the way. This is the citys second deadly officerinvolved shooting in less than three weeks. New details about the deadly plane crash at sfo. A 16yearold girl who died was actually alive when she was run over by an Emergency Vehicle. Thats what sources tell the San Francisco chronicle. Last week, San Francisco police chief greg suhr told kpix 5 the girl was hit. However, it was not clear at the time if she was still alive. This morning, the San Mateo County coroner is expected to say the victim was killed by an Emergency Vehicle. The coroner met yesterday with her family and families of two other people who died after that crash. Developing news out of southern california. The house was vacant a short time and damage inside isnt that bad. A small crew is inside now making repairs. Earlier a s. W. A. T. Team found drugs and one assault weapon inside. Investigators say the squatters were living there. Neighbors say there was possible prostitution going on. This all began shortly after the previous tenants moved out about three weeks ago. Neighbors noticed some suspicious people moving in and saw them carrying guns into the house. The owner confronted the squatters but found the locks had been changed. When officers arrived, the squatters produced a fake lease. Due to the complex laws in california regarding landlord tenant issues, it wasnt immediately clear to the first officers on scene that the individuals that were squatting here were in the squatting. It appeared that they had a valid lease and they said that they had been scammed. A gentleman, one of the neighbors said something and apparently saw some pictures and said, thats the house in my neighborhood and just made a notice to the Law Enforcement officers. Reporter thats also what caught the attention of police. Neighbors saw photos online of illegal activity going on at the house. Five people were on the warrant for trespass and burglary. There was a 70 jump in bike thefts from 2006 to last year and that doesnt include thousands of cases that were not reported to the police. Only a small percentage of bikes that are recovered get returned to the owners. Police are working on a registry of stolen bikes to improve that return rate. Lets check the weather. And hotter over the weekend. Low clouds and fog should give way to mostly sunny skies with patchy fog at the coastline by the afternoon. Keeping you cool right out at the beaches, only 60s out at the coast. But you get inside the bay and it turns to 80s and 90s into the south bay.
