When asiana flight 214 crashed at sfo in july. Kpix 5s joe vazquez has a new report that questions earlier information about the crash. Oh, my god reporter following the asiana plane crash, San Francisco now admits the citys firefighters ran over 16year old ye meng yaun twice but in the new report filed with the ntsb, the City Attorney adamantly denies that she was still alive at the time of the rollovers despite what the San Mateo County coroner said. Multiple blunt injuries that are consistent with being run over by a motor vehicle. Those injuries she received, she was alive at the time. Reporter in this new report the city says wait a minute, if she were alive, then how come the coroner found no dust, dirt, debris or Firefighting Foam in the trachea or lung tissues of the deceased . If she were alive, the city argues, she would have breathed in one or more of those items. The city also notes that she was ejected from the plane just like two other passengers who were right next to her both of whom died. So they are saying that the San Mateo County coroners decision was faulty. Reporter the Attorney Says the city is likely building its defense against a wrongful death lawsuit already filed by the girls family. That the girl was already dead. And therefore, that as tragic as it was that her body was mutilated by the fire engine, the fire engines did not cause her death. Therefore, she has no claim against the city and county of San Francisco. Reporter joe vazquez, kpix 5. The new report says the three passengers died because of the physical trauma of the ejections from the airplane. 4 32 now.
