The learjet went down yesterday on approach to freeport on the island of grand bama. It originated in nassau and there were no survivors and the cause is under investigation but there was heavy rain in the area at the time of the plane crash. And investigators are trying to figure out what caused a deadly crash involving a small plane east of gilroy. Reporter good morning, search crews were already following up on a report of a missing plane and looking for this wreckage when a rancher actually called it in from just outside of gilroy. This is east of the city limits near highway 152 and canada road. This is a remote hillside area of the county. The deputies had a lard time getting to the wreckage. The cessna 140 had substantial damage to it. Both passengers on board a man and a woman did not survive. The family members asked deputies to holds off on announcing the names of the victims until they can inform other relatives. Investigators believe this is the same plane they were looking for that took off saturday morning.
