They do these audits twice a year looking at how officers use the tasers. They found the use of tasers was justified. However, how they reviewed the cases thats where there are some questions. Now, according to the mercury news, they say this most recent audit completed last month only contained four incidents, two of them being taserrelated, a very low number of incidents for an audit. The mercury news says in one case, an officer was arresting a man on probable drugrelated charges. The man resisted, kicked the supervisor in the head, that supervisor then tased the man. Again auditors saying this is a justified use of the taser. But they say when reviewing the incidents, investigators later interviewed the man right in front of that injured officer. They also asked him leading questions. And they had two witnesses, they asked witnesses questions together instead of apart individually. Sandra, you said there was and another taser incident that they looked into. Did they find any problems with the review process there . Reporter they did. They said in that particular case, it was about the wording, after this incident was all over and they went back to write the reports.
