Freemont and corey lakes are closed because of bluegreen algae. Its most likely caused by a draught. A gesture by farmers. They will cut water use by 25 . The state was threatening to impose the first cuts in 35 years. Agriculture accounts for 80 of the water ground. In the bay area vandals hit a dam in fremont and wasted tens of millions of gallons of water. The water is gone and the dam is going to cost millions to replace. This is what the dam looked like before vandals sliced it up yesterday. The rubber barrier now flattened under a pool of water. Now the water has poured out. Sgltsz it hurts inside. Thats going to cost a lot of money to replace it and time. We need this dam because its a recharging pond. When fully inflated it reached 13 feet and stretched 210 feet across the channel.
