Overhead as officers are getting ready honor one of their own. The procession is set to begin within the hour to pay tribute to fallen officer Michael Katherman. A police motorcade will be escorting his body to the darling Fisher Chapel of the hills in los gatos. This is a look at the starting point of the procession where officers are arriving to pay their respects. You can see many officers out there, many vehicles, as well. Earlier this morning, we were there as officers were polishing their motorcycles getting ready for the procession. Officer Michael Katherman was an 11year veteran of the force. He was on patrol tuesday when a minivan crashed into his motorcycle killing him. He is the second motorcycle officer in San Francisco. Jpd history to be killed while on duty. Katherman was 34 years old. He leaves behind a wife and two young boys.
