The plane was a u2 on a Training Mission and crashed right after taking off from Beale Air Force base. Two pilots were on board. Both parachuted out of the plane before impact. The plane went down in the Sutter Buttes mountains about 55 miles north of sacramento. And you can see the crash started a small grass fire there. We are going to have more information on this story coming up. But first, right now, terror suspect Ahmed Khan Rahami is in custody facing five counts of attempted murder of police officers. Right now, prosecutors are weighing additional charges over the bombings in new york and new jersey as they learn more about the suspect and what might have motivated him. Brook silvabraga joins us live from elizabeth, new jersey, where rahami lives. Reporter good afternoon. Its a busy afternoon outside the rahami family home. The father came out several times and on one occasion started to talk about his son. The father of terror suspect Ahmed Khan Rahami stood outside the familys home this morning and said he called the fbi two years ago. [ inaudible ] reporter investigators are now piecing together clues about his 28yearold son and what might have driven him to bombings in new york and new jersey over the weekend. Sources tell cbs news they have recovered a handwritten note and notebook. The writings reveal he was radicalized. They are going to look at friends, family, records, social media, his phones. The suspect was on the run for 50 hours before he was arrested in a shootout in new jersey. Investigators say he left a trail of clues including fingerprints and dna. His face was captured by surveillance cameras near the bombing in manhattan, which injured 29 people. He is a naturalized citizen born in afghanistan. He traveled recently to afghanistan at least three times and at least once to pakistan. Here in new jersey, he lived in this house in elizabeth just upstairs from the familys chicken restaurant. The rahami have clashed with the community over noise complaints and accused the city of antimuslim sentiment in a Law Enforcement that was later terminated. He had surgery after the shootout and is not cooperating with Law Enforcement. He is being held on 5 million bail. They spoke with his father in 2014 after a domestic dispute with a brother. In the case where a neighbor overheard the father call his son a terrorist. The fbi followed one him. But when they spoke to the father, he said he didnt mean it. It wasnt true. Reporter michelle, the City Attorney is trying to determine if Millennium Partners told its prospective buyers that this luxury tower was sinking before the buyer started investing thousands and millions into their units. In a Statement Released this morning, San FranciscoCity AttorneyDennis Herrera says he hashes quote, serious concerns that disclosures required by state law did not contain information about the settling of the property. Millennium tower has sunk at least 16 and tilted about 2 since opening just 7 years ago in 2009. An engineer hired by millennium homeowners found the tower will continue to settle at one inch per year and estimates it will sink up to 15 inches further into landfill. In a press conference, one of the millennium Founding Partners insists this building was constructed the right way and they had an engineer look at 301 mission who said the tower is perfectly fine. That desight the settlement thats occur despite the settlement thats occurred, the building is 100 safe. That report has been or will be turned over to the department of buildings. Mazewhat can you tell us . Reporter this is u2 dragon lady plane. It went down about 9 a. M. The two pilots were ejected from the plane. We dont know how they are doing. Ill show what you we can see right now. There is a scorched area at the top of this ridge and we have seen fire trucks going in and out of this area very far off in the distance. Thats where we believe that the plane went down. Now, we do have some visuals of the fire raging across this ridge. It happened earlier this morning just about 2. 5 hours ago. The fire ripped across this brush. It is very dry out here and so that is what were looking at. When we were over there earlier this morning, we did talk to a battalion chief and they were ushering us out of the area and all the media and people that were watching this take place. They said it wasnt safe. They werent sure what was actually on board. It could be some kind of hazardous material. Its too early to tell. They moved us 1,000 feet up wind or down wind. They didnt want us in the area. But right now we know that that plane took off around 9 a. M. And went down just minutes later over here on the ridge in sutter county. We do know, macy, that its early in the investigation obviously. But any idea as to what may have caused this plane crash . Reporter at this point, it really is too early to tell. You know, were still trying to get that detail and figure out what that plane was doing other than the Training Mission.
