Expect mitt romney to come out swinging on the benghazi attack citing it as failure of the Obama Administration of Foreign Policy. The president said he is handling the crisis as well as winding down afghanistan. Reporter this will be the third and final time that the two candidates take the stage together for debate. This debate matters more than ever before. Reporter expect moderator Bob Schiefferer to spend plenty of time on libya. On sunday, republican senator marco rubio suggested the Obama Campaign tried to keep the Foreign Policy focus on the death of bin laden. Is that why for two weeks they told us that the libyan incident in benghazi was a Popular Uprising and not a terrorist attack . Because it ran counter to their campaign there. Reporter Obama CampaignOfficials Say its not their candidate who is playing politics with libya. Even while the flames were burning in benghazi, mitt romney was sending out Political Press releases. Reporter president obama had a lead in the polls when the debates began. But the race has gotten tighter since then and the new cbs news poll of a key swing state shows the same result. In the battleground state of ohio, the president leads mitt romney 50 to 45 down from a 10 point lead at the end of september. The president created this false image of mitt romney in the minds of some voters knocked down in the first debate. Reporter the Obama Campaign has plenty to be excited about. Early voters in ohio favor the president 5439 . If you look at the early voting thats going on around the country, its very robust and its very favorable to us and we think thats a better indicator than these public polls which are frankly all over the map. Reporter the president also leads among those who say they are going to vote on election day. Randall pinkston, cbs news, boca raton, florida. And, of course, the Romney Campaign is pointing out if you look at the trend line of the polls, they are moving up, the president is moving down. And, of course, the Romney Campaign likes that. Reporting live in boca raton, florida, im randall pinkston. Back to you. Randall, we have been talking about Foreign Policy especially tonight the highlights tonight. What do you think are most likely to produce the most fireworks . Reporter well, juliette, again, we believe that the benghazi attack will be top on mitt romneys list of attacks on the Obama Administration pointing out that the story has changed. Of course, the Obama Administration defense is that they are reporting what they were told by the intelligence community. And that they are trying to get to the bottom of it and, of course, track down those responsible for killing americans but you can also expect the Obama Campaign to reprise something that senator kerry has been saying recently describing john kerry im sorry, he is describing mitt romney as being full of bluster and blunder and not having the kind of judgment that it takes to be commanderinchief. Also, Bob Schieffer is the moderator tonight. What can we expect from him . Reporter well, correspondent Bob Schieffer has selected the topic of discussion. He has selected the questions. He is making sure no one knows the questions in advance and he is going to cover as many Foreign Policy issues as possible. Everybody says and believes that this entire election will be about the economy. But as recent years have shown us, at any given moment there can be a Foreign Policy question and American Voters will want to know where the candidates stand. Of course they already know how president obama will react. But they dont really know a lot about mitt romneys philosophy and tonight will be his first and possibly last opportunity before the election to spell it out. Thank you, randall pinkston. And you can watch the final president ial debate live tonight on cbs 5 starting at 6 00 and on cbssf. Com. It is 5 12 now. Major recall by nissan. The potential problem with thousands of cars. We may even see a couple of sunny breaks in between the clouds but showers continue to roll in on and off today and for the foreseeable future as we have this trough parked along the west coast. You have one band moving through today and a little break more showers on the way behind that and then another good system rolling through on wednesday. For today the cold front sliding into the bay area working its way slowly through so even by 9 00 you see that band extending down across parts of the south bay while turning to showers in the north bay then in the afternoon we have the giants game and it looks like its going to be okay. I think they will play the game although well have occasional showers rolling through. They may need to stop occasionally but they will get through the game nonetheless.
