Authorities say 49yearold Jeffrey Mcgann a 49yearold resident of Rancho Palos Verdes was trying to botched a flight home to l. A. X. When he attempted to pass through the security checkpoint with a very suspicious watch. The watch had on it a toggle switch, a series of fuses, a series of wires protruding from it, a circuit board, and the watch itself which was on incorrect time. Reporter this lieutenant is referring to a 56yearold woman kid 65yearold woman kidnapped and assaulted at gunpoint by a 14yearold boy starting at a Shopping Center on plaza drive in vallejo late yesterday afternoon. Police say the boy forced the woman to drive her minivan a few miles then stopped to assault her both physically and sexually. It was an extremely serious violent attack. Severe head trauma. Her eyes were swollen shut. Reporter the teen left the woman unconscious bound in duct tape on highway 80 found by passersby. They summoned aid for her, took care of her and got her treatment. They also provided information to the police which ultimately assisted us in making the arrest. Reporter as police were gathering those clues, they say the teen called one of the victims family members demanding ransom money. Police arrested the boy soon after, back at the Shopping Center, still in possession of the womans van. They say his handgun turned out to be a replica.
