Spy agencies access to a massive financial database. Right now, only the fbi has full access to the database. Other spy agencies like the cia and National Security agency have to file case by case request to get that same information. And reuters says the white house is taking action so the agencies can have unlimited access. Banks have to report any cash transactions over 10,000 as suspicious and they get put into this database. Reuters says banks often overreport to be safe and that puts americans with no criminal instent in the spotlight of the federal government.
