That could make it a crazy and very hectic travel day tomorrow. Wednesday should be the single busiest travel day during the holiday season. Heres another number to chew on. 90 of all travelers will be getting there by car, wherever there is. The forecast is for soaking rain across the midatlantic and into the northeast along i95, and with this rain in the forecast, a lot of rain, if you are traveling along i95 or interstate 81 behind me. Charlie, norah, good morning. A big mess on the east coast. Maybe the only saving grace the fact its a pretty fastmoving storm pap lot of moisture coming up out of the gulf of mexico. This is the first time weve seen a situation like this year. We have that moisture source. You see the snow on the northern endit. Places like atlanta and charlotte, this is where heavier rain will be coming down. By this even its on the move across virginia so, reagan and dulles. Tomorrow morning, the heaviest rain shifts to new york city and up towards boston and hartford, and thats where we really expect delays and wind. Total rain is a widespread 1 to 3 inches, a few spots in the appalachians. 3 to 5 inches of total rainfall. This is a pretty goodsized soaking and in terms of the snow, the highest potential western new york, pennsylvania, into ohio, 6 to 12 inches total not out of the question there. Charlie, norah . And while investigators uncover details of lanzas life, none of the information answers the question why. Photographs released in a new report offer a glimpse into the life of shooter adam lanza. Inside the home he shared with his mother nancy, investigators found a computer game called School Shooting and images showing adam lanza holding a rifle to his head. Electronic evidence included nfgt about the columbine shooting and photocopied newspaper articles from 1891 about the shooting of school children. Lanzas bedroom windows were blacked out with garbage bags. In the month before the shooting he would only communicate with his mother through email. Also revealed in mondays summary, a more comprehensive time line of the morning of december 14th. It was just after 9 30 a. M. When lanza, carrying 30 pounds of guns and ammunition, headed for front door of Sandy Hook Elementary School. He shot his way in, shattering a plate glass window next to the locked doors. At 9 35, Police Received the fist 911 call. 67 Sandy Hook Elementary School, caller is indicating she thinks theres someone shooting in the building. Reporter by 9 39, less than four minutes later, the first officer arrived. At 9 40, Police Officers reported hering a last gunshot. The report was shown to victims families before it was made public. After reading it yesterday, the family of victoria soto, a teacher killed in the attack, posted this on facebook how do we go on every day missing a piece of our family . Those are the questions we seek the answers for. There is nothing in the report that will answer those for us. Adam lanza was diagnosed with aspergers in 2005. National security advisor susan rice has given afghan President Hamid karzai an ultimatum, and karzai handed rice a set of new demands. Elizabeth palmer is in london. Good morning. It became clear that president karzai was going to balk at signing this Security Agreement on the weekend, so susan rice took her first foreign trip to kabul to meet him face to face. President hamid karzai and the u. S. National security advisor posed for local afghan cameras looking cordial. But behind the smiles theres a deadlock. Susan rice believes the two countries had a security deal that would keep about 8,000 u. S. Troops in afghanistan after the official pullout next year. But at the last minute, karzai refused to sign. If the agreement isnt signed properly, what i said to the president is we would have no choice. We would be come pemed by necessity not by our preference to have to begin to plan for the prospect that we will not be able to keep our troops here. Reporter but things havent gone quite according to plan for nancy care. Last month her insurer said it was hiking rates 39 starting next year. Thats a 30,000 increase in costs to her. I didnt take it seriously because i have the opportunity to go on healthcare. Gov. So clark decided to terminate the insurance shes offered her eight employees and turn to obama care. But theres been one problem after another. Were experiencing technical difficulties. Thats the nature of the beast.
