Hes at the white house. Bill, good morning. Reporter good morning, and good morning in the west. You know, the prediction sitting down before kickoff. This year, it was fox, and the interviewers was bill oreilly. The 10minute interview was combative and it highlighted the administrations difficult moments. His signature achievement, the new health care law, came under fire first. Was it the biggest mistake of your presidency to tell the nation over and over if you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance . No bill youve got a long list of my mistakes no, really, for you, wasnt that the biggest this is one i regret and ive said ive regretted reporter the president was pressed on his support for Kathleen Sebelius, and the person responsible for the botched rollout of the health care website. Why didnt you fire sebelius the secretary in charge of this because she had to know after all those years and that money that it wasnt going to work . My main priority is making sure it delivers for the american people. And what weve ended up doing is weve got 3 Million People signed up so far. Im sure that the intent is noble. But im a taxpayer. Yeah. Im paying Kathleen Sebelius salary, and she screwed up. Youre not holding her accountable. I promise you we hold everybody up and down the line accountable. Reporter he was asked about benghazi, libya, asking what then defense secretary leon panetta told him on that day. Did he tell, secretary panetta, it was a terrorist attack . You know what he told me was there was an attack on our compound reporter he didnt use the word terror . You know, in the heat of the moment, bill what folks are focused on is whats happening on the ground, do we have eyes on it how can we make sure our i want to get this on the record. Did he tell you it was a terror and im answering your question. What he said to me was weve got an attack on our compound. No terror attack . We dont know yet whos doing it. Understand by definition bill when somebody is attacking our compound yeah. Thats an act of terror. Reporter the president also denied there were any political motives behind the irs treatment of conservative groups. He told oreilly these are all settled issues. He accused fox news of keeping them alive. But even so the president said with a big broad smile, he had enjoyed the exchange. Charlie, norah . Bill thank you. Of course after that interview, the big game seattles Russell Wilson threw two touchdown passes in the second half the young quarterback overcame many obstacles to become a super bowl champion. Russell wilson, good morning, and congratulations. Oh, charlie, hey, norah, this is Russell Wilson. Good to hear from you guys. Its a pleasure man. It was unbelievable. And what surprised you most about that game . You know, just how great we played all across the board. You know our defense, our offense, special teams was great. And our fans were unbelievable in Metlife Stadium. It makes it easier for a quarterback if you get an interception that goes for a touchdown, a kickoff return that goes for a touchdown, and a safety . Yeah, all those things are good. And weve been doing that all year. Weve been playing great football all year. You know, its a team its a team effort, and thats what weve been wanting to do especially the last game of the year. You want to play the best football at the end of the year and thats what we did. Charlie, gayle, and i were all there. Russell, congratulations. It was great to see the intensity with which the seahawks played with defense. How did you prepare . I think the same way we prepared all season. You know, after last season and everything, we lost the tough, tough game last season, in the playoffs to atlanta. And we kind of just said hey, you know, everything we do has to be championship calendar. And we have to have a championship offseason, have a 10 mindset, and just go after it every day. And thats what we did. And the preparation, we did everything we could. This week was our best week of practice all year. You were a third round draft pick, i think 75th overall. People have said youre too short to be a quarterback, too young, because youre 25 years old. How have you dealt with adversity . What was some advice that your father has given you all along the way . First of all, my faith is so strong. God has given me so much talent. You know, i believe that gods given me the right arm, and for some reason, even though im 511, to make the throw and great decisions on the field, you know, i think to be a great quarterback, you need great leadership, great attention to detail and a relentless competitive nature and thats what i try to bring to the table. I have a long ways to go. Im still learning and still on the constant quest for knowledge. They say its the willingness to win that made the reason they wanted to go with you as their starting quarterback. Let me talk about Peyton Manning. What do you think happened last night . Have you had a chance to talk to him at all since the game was over . You know, i have so much respect for Peyton Manning and all the things hes done. You know, i got to talk to him at the end of the game, before the game a little bit. What did you say after the game, russell . I just said thanks for playing against me man, its an honor. It really is. Hes one of the best quarterbacks, if not the best quarterback to play the game. You know, its just truly an honor. And actually ironically i went to his football camp in 10th grade, and he was my coach. So to be to be around him, you know, and to watch his legacy and all the things he done, its a tremendous honor. What did pete carroll say at halftime . We had a great halftime routine, just getting ready. He just said to us guys lets bring it. Lets have an unbelievable second half. Sure enough we came out strong. First the kickoff return. He was electric. And we even played better in the second half. We just we just kept playing better and better and better as the game went on. Congratulations, russell. Great stuff.
