Exiting to the north and east finally giving us a bit of a break to clean up but dropping about 20 plus inches across parts of the blue ridge mountains. Ice was a huge factor down to the south and many of our major cities did pick up very high snowfall accumulations for this total. What we see future cast wise, this area of moisture will work towards the east coast, drops one to three inches across ohio valley and new york city, parts of the midatlantic as well. As the storm system works up the coastline, there is the potential for it to deepen once again and impact new england with more snow. Six plus inches possible by the end of the weekend there. Almost from the beginning local and federal investigators believed this was an isolated incident with no larger terrorist connections. Yesterday Police ArrestedRichard Parker, the soninlaw of the couple that was killed charging him with first degree murder. At the blast site crime scene technicians sift you through debris searching for evidence as well as a motive. On monday investigators say 74yearold John Jon Setzer picked up a package and was almost back to his house when it exploded killing him instantly and blowing out the windows in a nearby home. His wife marion, also in her 70s, was critically injured. She died at a nearby hospital yet. Although we do have the suspect obviously in custody, this remains an ongoing investigation. In a press conference yesterday federal investigators said the package was hand delivered. People should know it didnt arrive by the mail or any other shipping services. The suspect 49yearold parker lived behind the setzers in a rural area 30 miles east of nashville. Police would not say if he was still married to the couples daughter or how they linked him to the bombing. But parker has a criminal record and was convicted of arson in 1993. William gavin, a former fbi assistant says with the suspect in custody, Law Enforcement will focus on the device. Everybody kind of thinks you can go on a website and figure out how to make a bomb. Its not easy. They will also try to determine why he decided to use a bomb in the first place. Gavin said it may come down to psychology. When you send a letter bomb, you kind of remove yourself from the reality of the whole thing. You send it to them. They open it up. You some hugh say they are responsible for their own death.
