The Group Claims Responsibility for a vicious attack in afghanistan in afghanistans capitol. The suicide car bomber targeted a nato military convoy. The explosion killed three coalition soldiers. Good morning, fire Officials Say the bold fire that decimated the town is only 15 contained. Its just the latest in a string of fires being fueled by the record dry conditions. In the Northern California town the fire raced through dry brush monday afternoon. Destroying a church and a wind meal in the historic lumber town. Little else was left. Theres nothing left. My lawn is all burned up. Nothing left but bricks. Its all burned up. My clothes. All i have is what i got on. Wind gusts up to 40 miles an hour spread the flames from one building to the next forcing thousands in the area to evacuate. This is the time to get out. When we tell you to get out, get out. Firefighters used what resources they had to stop the flames in what has been a familiar sight throughout the state over the past summer months. All summer its been unusually hot and dry. Its supposed to be that way again today. Nearly 300 miles outside of sacramento, 1500 firefighters spent the night battling the king fire burning since saturday, it has destroyed over 8,a 600 acres and is just 5 contained. A lot of these fuels that would normally burn more mildly theyre just burning real fast. On the outskirts of Yosemite National forest close to fresno this fire is just 35 contained. At least 33 homes there have been destroyed. Its difficult to see the devastation, you know. You cant put it into words. What can you say . What can you do . Im hoping its there. Im praying its there. It would be too much of a heartbreak to lose it. Cal fire says theyve already responded to 4800 wildfires this year. Thats a thousand more than in an average year. Forecasters say prop call storm odile will bring much needed relief to the state on wednesday. Charlie . Odile is moving up Baja California this morning. We could see more thunderstorms and showers as we move through the next few days. As a result, Flooding Risk is very high. Flash flood watches continuing throughout at least your friday at this point. And were looking at very hot conditions for Southern California. Especially red flag warnings excessive heat warnings and watches lasting through this day. I will tell you temperatures are very hot for the west. As we head to the east expecting milder conditions. At least 4,700 people in five countries have been infected. At least 2400 of them have died. Resources in south africa aimed at slowly and eventually stopping the spread of ebola. Were going to try to help the governments in africa meet the needs of their people. The administration hopes to galvanize International Partners into action while significantly expanding its own contribution. Making an investment here early is critical to thery to snuff out the problem before it becomes a much more widespread problem. Among the investments, additional 88 million for equipment and supplies. 17 treatment units, each with 100 beds and up to 3,000 military personnel to help contain the epidemic and train up to 500 medical workers per week for as long as needed. What we say is train the trainers. Train the local people so they can do it. Do all the the work. Time is critical. The epidemic is growing exponentially and supplies are dwindling. Officials say assets will be on the ground in weeks. But International Aid groups have been sounding the alarm for months. The u. S. Focus will initially be on liberia. This is a very large epidemic. Its going to take a lot of effort over a long period of time. This is not going to be over quickly. And to push for greater International Involvement in this this, the u. S. Is calling for a special session of the u. N. Security council on thursday to discuss the Global Impact of the Ebola Outbreak. And mr.
