She said that they missed me too and it put the biggest smile on my face to see that, and im just sad that thats the last message that i got from her but happy that i got to tell her that i missed her. More big news we are following this morning were learning more about the stanford rape case. Its caused outrage of course after a former swimmer was sentenced to only 6 months in jail. We now know a juror who served on the trial delivered a letter to the judge and wrote in part quote, shame on you. A judge sentenced him to 6 months in jail after he was convicted of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman. The victims letter read at sentencing has gone viral but now we know the prosecutor in the case for you to for a tougher sentence calling the victims statement powerful and urging the judge to sentence turner based on his actions alone. The judge is facing a recall campaign. At sentencing he noted prison would have a severe impact on turner and also considered turners alcohol use that night a mitigating factor that should result in more leniency saying its not an excuse but it is a factor that his judgment was impaired by alcohol. The prosecutor criticized the 6month sentence at trial saying it is easy to want to turn a blind eye to the suffering victims go through.
