Grant reporter the 44 page report is a summary of the state of connecticuts investigation shooting in american history. Reporter and while it doesnt answer the question why. It does reveal how the killer carried out his crimes. Reporter on the morning of december his killing spree at his home, shooting his mother nancy four times in the face with a rifle. Reporter he left that weapon at her side, and set off for the Sandy Hook School armed with a semi automatic rifle, two handguns and more than 300 rounds of ammunition arriving at the school at 9 30 a m he shot his way through the locked front doors. Reporter the noise brought the School Principal and staff psychologist out of a meeting in this room. Lanza killed them instantly. And wounded two teachers in this hall. Then he entered a first grade classroom and killed the teacher and another staff member , along with 15 children. Reporter one child survived. Reporter sources say she was hidden behind others and lanza didnt see her. He then went to the next door classroom, killed the teacher and her aide, and five more children. By that time police had arrived outside the building. Reporter lanza then used one of his handguns to take his own life. He had fired 154 rounds in less than 11 minutes. The report says lanza gave no hint to anyone of his plans. Reporter but he did live a secretive life, in a bedroom with blacked out windows. He had been diagnosed with symptoms of aspergers syndrome as well as obsessive compulsive behavior an analysis of his online activities revealed a preoccupation with the columbine shootings and other mass killings.
