Students have walked out of class in several cities to protest the election of donald trump as the next us president. You are looking at video from students marching in novato and menlo park. These protest comes just six days after the Election Results were announced. Students have been chanting not my president while walking out of class. And this is what it looked like in oakland. As more students participated in another walkout to protest Donald Trumps presidency. Some students talked to kron4s Haaziq Madyun about their concerns with the united states. Our streets over a thousand students came from schools all across oakland, marching to the fruitvale village to protest the president elect donald trump. It was a somewhat festive atmosphere with drummers and dancers in dressed in traditional clothing. Inside this mass of students i found voices of real concern about the future of this largely Latino Community now that donald trump has won the president ial election i dont appreciate trump because of all the words he said about mexicans and racism and all that he wants to send latinos back to the country my mom, she is an immigrant, my grandma shes an immigrant, basically my whole family are immigrants we just organized to show what is the way we can fight back 15yearold gema quetzal is a sophomre at oaklands Life Academy High School and the co organizer of todays student protest. She echoes concerns for undocmunted immigrant members of her community being deported by President Donald Trump parents, peers, our cousins, community members, our friends are undocumented, by having those comments we are scared that we are never going to see them again, we want to show him today that no matter what he says or what he does we are going to protect our people there were also students here supporting the black lives matter movement. We wanted our voice to be heard there were students here from middle school through college. All in all this was a very high spirited and peaceful student led anti trump protest. This entire week kids have been coming into school crying thinking their parents are going to be deported and what ive been telling them is there is that they have all of this Community Strength that we will protect themthat they are adults to care who will stand up for them. The Stanislaus County sheriff now says that Dennis Wallace was shot and killed execution style. Deputy wallace was a 20year veteran of the department and well known in the community. He was investigating a suspicious car and person sunday when he found out the car was stolen and then asked for backup. But the sheriff says that in a matter of seconds he was murdered. The department now believes wallace was killed outside the car with the gun held against his head. Theyre calling it an execution. The suspect has been arrested. Which is a relief to local residents. The suspect is David Machado who was tracked down after a manhunt that lasted hours. He was wanted on a felony warrant at the time of the stop. Investigators say he was arrested after committing an Armed Robbery at a Convenience Store in the town of lindsay. And had also tried to steal a womans purse. School Officials Say the racists messages against chinese, japanese and African Americans were spray painted on 5 different areas on the black top here at Edison Elementary School in alameda.
