Will. will jurors in the sierra lamar murder trial have reached a verdict, Santa Clara County superior Court Officials announced this afternoon. The verdict will be read in court at 9 a. M. On tuesday at san joses Santa Clara Hall of justice. Antolin garciatorres, 26, pleaded not guilty to the murder of 15yearold sierra, who has not been seen or heard from since march 16, 2012, and to the attempted kidnappings of three women in safeway parking lots in 2009. If garciatorres is found guilty, the jurors will weigh the aggravating and mitigating factors and select between death and life without the possibility of parole. Both sides would be allowed to present evidence during this phase of the trial. Garciaarrested on may 21, 2012, two months after sierra went missing and after investigators found his dna on her jeans, which were recovered near where she went missing outside morgan hill. Sierras dna found on an interior backseat door handle and on the outside of a pair of work gloves in 1998 red Volkswagen Jetta. Defense attorneys for garciatorres have alleged cross contamination during the evidence collection process, pointing to sloppy techniques by the Santa Clara County district attorneys crime laboratory. darya thanks will. They were returning from a Birthday Dinner in San Francisco when the mob began pounding on the train as it pulled into the coliseum station. Stapp and his family claim bart did nothing to prevent the attack and robbery. They say the person driving the train should have realized people were pounding on the doors and never opened them. anny stapps Attorney Says bart must answer for its lack of security at fare gates. Bart now has 45 days to respond to the claim. She said, hello and i was sittin there ignoring her and she just started beating on me. The girl came home that day in early march with some knots on her head. Someone in the School Office called her mother, emma simms. But simms says the administrator only said her daughter was upset. had i known that my daughter was beat up like that, i wouldve been here quick and in a hurry. The sixth grader did tell her mother what happened, but when the video got posted on youtube she kept that to herself. People wont stop talking about it. Who . Everyone at school . Everyone in my class. Simms didnt know the video existed until sunday. She says her daughteris fearful, scared to come to school, she wants me with her. A teacher at Solano Middle School told me she too had seen it. She called it assault, and said she already had to discipline other students for having it or passing it around. The teacher also told me the attacker had been suspended for multiple daysbut ashe feels it wasnt enough. Now simms is trying to bring the avideo to the attention and the district. In vallejo, Spencer Blake, kron four news. darya police have identified the man who shot at officers over the weekend in san jose. He is 29year old kevin riley. Police say riley started firing at them sunday morning on tully road. Police shot back, but did not hit him. Riley was later arrested at a Mobile Home Park in the area. This was the third officer involved shooting in the last week. mark if you drive in the north bay you could soon be charged a toll to use highway 37. Officials say the highway is prone to flooding and Traffic Congestion and charging a toll could help fix some of those problems. Marin county officials it can take years to get the money to fix the highway and a toll could help speed up the process. But some Business Owners in the area say a toll will be too costly for them. mark fortythousand people use highway 37 every day. It connects solano, marin, napa and sonoma counties. mark we are learning how much it is going to cost to fix some of the roads damaged during the winter storms. 37Million Dollars is needed to fix highway 35 in Santa Clara County. Highway 35 washed out in the Santa Cruz Mountains in february. Caltrans says it will need to build a retaining wall to get the road repaired and back open. Wells fargo is in court and accused of targeting undocumented immigrants to open up bank accounts. That is according to a lawsuit filed by a wells fargo shareholder. It claims that bankers and tellers scouted the streets and Social Security offices for potential clients. Their goal was to find undocumnted immigrants and persuade them to open a bank account. The lawsuit claims that personal bankers and managers turned to unethical and potentially illegal ways to reach their daily sales quotas. A spokesperson for wells fargo called the lawsuit offensive, and denies the allegations. darya land a closely watched proposal to eliminate sales taxes on tampons and diapers has failed at the state capitol. Under the bill, taxes on hard liquor would have gone up to make up for the lost money. The bills sponsor says the state should not be taxing necessities for women and children. The bay area air Quality Management district says it has issued four violations. One for causing a public nuisance and three for releasing excessive smoke. It all started with a power outage at the refinery on friday morning that led to flaring which released massive plumes of thick, black smoke into the air prompting a shelter in place. Harris was arrested in eureka and brought back to marin county. He is now in jail on 750thousand dollars bail. And now the Sonoma County Sheriffs Office says the killer is in custody. Shaun gallon has been named as the main suspect.
