Two santa clara men have died after taking the fake pills. And police say, meehan admitted to selling the phony xanax to one of the men. he told them that she had in fact supplied one of them with the medication but did not realize that what he thought was an antidepressant was actually different fentanyl pam meehan says, he tried to destroy the pills after he found out they were dangerous. Officers were able to recover some of his supply. Last month. San Francisco Police reported three people died from taking fake xanax. Officers did not confirm. Took 53year old Yolanda Najera hostage, and then shot her before being shot by police. Neighbors say, mondays incident was not the first time. The two people were seen arguing. Police confirmed.
