According to chb, a bicycle officer was flagged down around 2 45 in the afternoon near vista point, by a man who said he was shot in the leg by one of these darts. He felt the pain in his leg, looked down and noticed a blow down about two inches into his leg. So that would be one of the darts i just showed you was sticking in his leg. It had gone through his genes, perforated his jeans and then his skin. The officer called for an ambulance and was still taking the mans statement when a second victim came up and said she had also been shot by a blow dart. She was hit in the knee. Two victims, both walking north on the bridge, neither of them knew each other and chb does not believe they were targeted. Random acts of violence. What it appears if youre driving on the bridge, window height is right about leg height for an average adult. So as best as we can tell, it appears somebody was firing these darts out of their vehicle. We didnt have any reports anybody on the sidewalks with a blowgun of any type. So best we can tell, somebody was traveling on 101 shooting out toward the sidewalk. Reporter there are a lot of cameras on the bridge and investigators are going to be going through that video, frame by frame, to try and figure out who fired these blow darts at these two people. We want our communities to be alive and free. Reporter kron four news. New tonight at 11 00, the San FranciscoAttorneys Office is responding to a federal lawsuit filed by the family of mario woods. The city states that woods told officers they would have to shoot him before he would drop the knife he was holding. Woods was fatally shot by San Francisco police last december. He was a suspect in a stabbing. And police say, he refused to drop his knife. The city attorneys response states that he was shot when he quote, attempted to flee by walking past the officers and toward the area where bystanders. Additionally they say the knife was matched to the stabbing victim. His shooting has launched nationwide protest and a department of justice investigation into the San Francisco police department. A 21yearold man has been arrested on suspicious of stabbing his father to death. Police responded to calls of a man screaming for help about 5 30 this morning at this apartment complex. When they arrived and loked the unit where the screams were coming from, they found the 21 year old man covered in blood. Inside the apartment was his father who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police detectives are here at the scene right now. V speak toing the suspect and interviewing witnesses and trying to answer a lot of those questions that right now are unanswered for us and law enforcement. Police still do not know the motive behind the stabbing and they have not yet released the name of the suspect, nor of the victim. Local surfers came out on top during titans of hash ricks today. Vegas was allegedly gunned down in his home by his grandsons father. Police say he was breaking up a domestic dispute when he was killed. Today his family gathered at the chump on the hill. His son, joe, spoke on behalf of the family. I cant help but think now that the compassion, the generosity and the love that were receiving is a testament to that life that he led. A life as a Police Officer that he devoted to protecting others and a life of a father that he ultimately sacrificed for protecting his family. And i didnt think i could grieve anymore, but im grieving a lot more now because i dont have him with me. Her soulmate was swept out to sea, her and her husband went for a walk on the beach by the pacifica peer tuesday when a sneaker wave picked them. I let the undertoe take me but i couldnt feel him or see him and i was being tossed so much that i had lost all orientation of where i was. Larry did not get sucked in and first went to the shore to get help. But came back in the water, claudia says, to save her. You know, he said i cant lose you. I said dont worry. I can float. Claudia went with the waves eventually getting to the surf where two men pulled her out. But larry did not make it out. Claudia witnessed his last living moment. I saw the helicopter that was overhead and that thats about when they plucked him out of the water. Paramedics tried to save larry but he later died at the hospital, her husband of 20 years. He was a good man. And he was a great husband. Now, she tries to picture her life without her love. He was just everything to me. Claudia wants others not to underestimate the power of the ocean or the dangerous and deadly rip currents and remember larry as an honest man. People forget how dangerous it is along the coastline. Brittany has been tracking our forecast. We keep hearing these different stories and people get caught offguard. I know. So with this High Surf Advisory it is going to stay in effect until sunday. And its interesting because the temperatures are so warm, but very tempting for everyone to head out to the ocean. But again, you want to be very careful. This is really going to affect our entire area. All the areas enter there highlighted in pink under the High Surf Advisory until saturday at 8 00 p. M. As we look ahead, besides the dangerous surf, we are tracking warmer conditions back to the 70s well go. Even the midto high 70s by monday and tuesday. So record highs are going to be a possibility. And then pushing into next week, wednesday and thursday we are tracking a chance of rain and cooler temperatures on the way as finally this area of High Pressure that has been sitting over our area slowly starts to break down. Our satellite radar shot showing us quiet conditions, just a few clouds pushing on shore here. We are tracking a little bit of rain, but that is not expected to impact or on shore. A group of nuns who face possible eviction due to rising rent in San Francisco have won a reprieve.
