Two of at least three suspects are in police custody. Earlier fremont officers were searching for a suspect that they considered armed and dangerous. At one point shots rang out and officers were involved with a shooting. Police have not said if someone was hit. They have not said if someone died or if a person was hurt. This happened in the parking lot of an apartment complex called city view which is near cal state east bay. Part of that campus was on lockdown earlier today. Students say this hits close to home. The husband of a woman whose remains were found two years after she vanished. Says, he did not kill her. steve 63yearold annie bailly from penngrove vanished in december of 2014. Last month her remains were found near point reyes. pam kron 4s alecia reid talked to her husband. The victims estranged husband is a potential suspect. He says hes been treated as a suspect from the moment his wife went missing. But hes very adamant he had nothing to do with it. Pkgsot i did not do this. I did not kill her. No by chance, annie baillys skeletal remains were discovered over a cliff at the Point Reyes National seashore in february. Sot there was a car crash in the area and the people involved spotted her remains by mere chance. The 63 year old had been missing for over 2 years. Her and her estranged husband kerry had been married for 18 years, and were going through a divorce but lived in the same davis lane home. The day annies husband reported her missing, her vehicle, keys, and purse were still at home. Kerry says her bank account also went untouched while she was missing. He believes annie committed suicide. He says shes tried in the past. When asked if he would hurt his wife. Sot no i called 911 the 2 times she tried to commit suicide. I intervened. Crime scene investigators towed annies vehicle to search for forensic evidence. They also used a search warrant to get inside the home, both monday and tuesday. Kerry wasnt allowed to stay there monday night. Sot they tore everything up. Im 74 with cancer. How much longer am i gonna live . Annies family had issued a 10thousand dollar award for finding her. Although no cause of death has been announced, evidence shows she was murdered. Sot suicide is ruled out, an accident is ruled out. This is definitely a homicide. Kerry isnt sure what was taken from his home during the search, but says his weapons are all gone. Sot they took all 3 of my guns. Many have claimed the officer trying to take hall into custody used excessive force. As a result, the city council declaring whats known as a shelter crisis, which allow the city to bypass certain housing rules and keep shelters open longer. There are still as many as 180 people displaced by the flood staying here in the main shelter at 7 Trees Community center, which could remain open until the end of may. A team from the Marine Mammal center has been on scene trying to capture a wayward sea lion spotted in an Irrigation Canal right behind me here. This is on the east side of vacaville. Right when the team arrived the mammal moved into to culvert further up the pipe and has not been seen since. Theroughout the afternoon the Marine Mammal center has been trying to coax the sea lion out of the pipe. If they dont capture him by sunset they will be back wednesday morning to try again.
