And they are currently only using one of tracks. The cause of a 2 alarm house fire in pittsburg that killed three women is still under investigation tonight. Kron4s Maureen Kelly spoke to fire officials who say the deaths could have been prevented. Reporter this is a cell phone picture taken by a neigbhor that shows what firefighters were up against when they first pulled up to the home on the 200 block of dimaggio avenue at around 12 30 am sunday morning. Fire Officials Say the found the three female occupants of the home. Dead inside the home. Its assumed they were asleep when the fire startedand this is why its believed they didnt wake up in time to get out. All three smoke detectors in the home had been taken down off the wall. And had no batteries inside. Marylou olivers home next door was also damaged by the blazeshe says she got out because someone came to her door and woke her up. The same neighbors also said this. You need to get out of there now reporter helped alert the young familya man, a woman and their 2 year old son who live in a unit behind the burning homethey were all able to get out safely. There is a fire and i ran outside the door. Reporter javier de la cruz jr along with his mother, father and brother were the ones who ran in to help get people out after calling 911. They say they didnt think anyone was home inside the burning buildingbecause they knocked on the windows and doors and no one answered. We were just hoping what the neighbors would do the same thing for us. Reporter this video shows the daughter of one of the victims. Being consoled. The three killed are all related. A neighbor says they were said to be quiet people, who kept to themselves. Maureen kelly kron4 news. The mount diablo fire is onehundred percent contained and naturelovers are already hoping to get back on the trails. The fire burned nearly 5 square miles in and around the state park. Officials say Mount Diablo State Park is on track to partially reopen on monday. Crews are working to fix park trails and structures damaged in the blaze and park attendees say they are happy for a quick turn around. Been i am definitely going to be out here. The park will reopen to everyone. Cyclists, cars and horseback riders. You can see some of the scorched mountain from the north side. But park Officials Say most of the damage happened on the southern and eastern sides of the mountain. Park Officials Say visitors will be allowed on all roads and trails. Even if they pass through the burn zone. But you must stay on the trails and roads. You wont be allowed to venture into the burn zone itself. Visitors turned around. Hoping to get inside the park early were dissappointed. But say theyre looking forward to the reopening. Park Officials Say that another restriction is that the campgrounds will be closed this week. Police fired three shots at the man who was said to be acting erratically. The bullets missed him. But hit two women. One of the women was grazed by a bullet the other was shot in the knee. The suspect appears to surrender but then gets back up. Police say it looked like the man wanted to be struck by traffic. But then, they say, he pretended to point a weapon at officers. The man then flees in the confusion. Where you see here that dozens of police chase after him. An officer eventually tasered the suspect, who was unarmed. That man has been identified as 35yearold Glenn Broadnax hes facing several charges, including resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The woman shot in the knee is in stable condition. The other woman was released from the hospital overnight. Northern colorado residents are keeping a wary eye on the sky. More rain is in the forecast and officials worry that the weather will hinder rescue operations. The flooding has left several people dead and over 12hundred are still unaccounted for. On september 15, 1963, four girls were killed when a bomb planted by the ku kluxklan exploded at the 16th Street Baptist Church in birmingham, alabama.
