They tackle the fire from the ground and air. Flames burned 40 acres before it was contained. Firefighters are battling six wildfires across the state your the largest in kern county where a fire has burned 150 homes to the ground. Officials are saying they may have found more remains in the ash. This is a map of the biggest buyers in the state. The deadly epstein fire near a popular rep Recreation Area has exploded in size. It is now than 35,000 acres which is slightly bigger than the size of San Francisco. It moves so fast that many people had to get away. An elderly couple died trying to flee the fire. More than a day after a report of a great white great white shark sighting signs are alerting people to the danger. That has not stopped people from swimming in the water. A lawsuit has been filed against the county for actions leading up to the fatal stabbing of a nineyearold last year. The lawsuit alleges the county sheriffs deputies helped workers and the suspect family failed to properly respond to warning signs before the boy was killed. William schultz who had spent the night in the home was arrested several hours later on suspicion of stabbing him. It was later revealed that schultz had undergone a voluntary Mental Health evaluation the day before. According to the case schultz parents never worn the family of his mental instability.
