It started after 6 p. M. People were trapped about and hour and a half on the bart station. Now, the shutting down that explosion shut down service to lafayette and pleasantville. Service was restored around 7 15 be trains moving at reduced speeds. Passengers said it sounded like a big explosion. Fire crews responded to the blaze just after 6 00 p. M. , and evacuated and estimated 250 passengers. We talked to some people as they were getting off the bart train people were freaking out. They were more concerned about beginning the places where they needed to go as opposed to being they were like, i need to get to this place at a certain time. There were people in the car with luggages. Reporter a lot of the people told me that most of the people inside the bart trains remained calm. They said it wasnt too bad. About seven injuries have been reported, and people here who came out in support of the president were really upset they felt they couldnt support their own opinions in a safe environment, and Berkeley Police actually said they were able to confiscate that and other objects. People at the support President Trump rally geared up as if they were preparing for war. Fire crackers and pepper spray were released at the Martin Luther king, junior, Civic Center Park shortly after the rally started at about 2 in the afternoon. The minute it happened, i just it happened to me. Reporter the large crowd made it difficult to see who and at one point incited the violence throughout the rally. Berkeley Police Report ten people were arrested and at least seven injured. Those who say they were attacked were there in support of the president. She didnt pepperspray randomly. This man says he was kicked after he asked an antitrump protester to stop blaring an instrument in his ear its all about freedom of speech. Just because you dont like mine, that doesnt give you the reason or the right to be to be violent and everything with me. Reporter other conversations between opposing sides got heated, but dissipated safely. But still, pro Trump Supporters were really disappointed, as we mentioned, they werent able to share their opinions in a safe space, feeling that the environment is just increasingly hostile. The fights broke out over the course of a few intense hours. I lost count, man. Reporter police say ten people were arrested, most for battery and assault, including one person who is said to have a knife. At least one trump supporter had pepper spray, and used it more than once, hitting several people, include being guy trying to neutral lies the spray. The guy who got arrested, there were two people using pepper spray, and he was the one who actually started it. And i got here. A bunch of fights, and, like, pepper spraying, and teargassing. The tweet says the sign was stolen from a trump supporter. You can see the persons face covered with clothing. Now, a sight that we saw quite a bit today, heres a shot of a trump supporter being arrested. The crowd there told police that he had a knife. Dont know if he had tried to use that knife or not. Keep in mind, you see police here; but in most of those shots, officers were nowhere near the fights that broke out. Jenny schall tweeted me this afternoon, saying the brutal pictures sharing reminds me of the civil war, minus muskets and cannons. Another person tweeted, good lord, are there no police in the entire learningly area. As for president donald trump, he tweeted saturday morning, saying the Obama Administration conducted surveillance during the president ial election. Andrew spencer has more about trumps claim. The u. S. Is putting on hold expedited processing for hb1 visas. Those visas help highly skilled Foreign Workers get jobs in the u. S. Right now the employers can pay an extra fee if they want their applications be processed faster. But immigration officials now say the expedited processing will be suspended on april the 3rd. And for a closer look along the peninsula, you can see that band of moisture thats just making its way on shore into San Francisco. The cell right here, lets check out, see how those rain rates are doing now. Again, right here in the middle. You can see thats coming down pretty good there. Almost an inch per hour. So thats a significant system that is sliding on through. Further south near halfmoon bay, you can see a pretty good cell that is now moving just to the east. Then, out over the pay and into oakland, weve got some heavier rainfall now moving in. Youre seeing some strong downpours also into san lendro. That is producing heavy amounts of rainfall. Almost 3 quarters of an inch. You can see some of the rain in that direction as well. So its really making its way on shore late in the day in the afternoon. Were probably going to see, a couple hours here, some heavier amounts of rainfall. And then itll begin to taper off. Lighter rainfall in almo now, but that is going to change. Three people are lucky to be alive tonight after an accident demolished the cab of their truck. Happened just before 8 30 this morning in the bartolla district of San Francisco. The big rig was cruising on highway 101 north. It came upon slower traffic. To avoid hitting another car, the driver swerved, sending the truck over the guardrail and on to a street below. Bystanders saw the crash, and pulled the driver and two passengers out of that wreckage. All three were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The crash is now under investigation. Well, the Alameda County firearm is asking for help, finding property stolen from them. Fire Officials Say one of their fire trucks was broken into on monday. The driver parked the truck, left the truck in a safeway parking lot in casco valley. Some of these could see some thunderstorms embedded in the system here. So wouldnt be surprised to hear a little lightning out there, and thunder rumble on through the bay area. As we take you a little further to the east, we are seeing heavy amounts of rain making their way on shore, down toward the bartolla valley. We are looking at this system that is moving on shore. Its going to be slowly coming in. You can see that batch of yellow and that orange. That is going to be pushing on shore a little bit later on here in the next couple of hours. And that sure will bring some heavier amounts of rainfall through the bay area. Now, that is sliding into the were seeing some rain, pretty heavy into oakland, also in the san leandro. Also continuing to see rain in toward richmond and berkeley, although not as heavy as it was just a short time earlier. And that heavier rainfall started to move into hayward. Devlin youre picking up showers. That is going to get heavy as we head into the night tonight. Danville, getting moderate amounts of rainfall. Be picking up in the next few minutes. Toward the south bay, more scattered light showers now. But again that front is just moving through. So were going to see that rain picking up as we head through the evening hours. A Southern California couple was with their dogs on the this morning when they made a shocking discovery. Several large bundles of marijuana had just washed ashore. The San Diego CountySheriffs Department showed up to pictures of the bundles on shore, and then had the task of hauling away the drug one package at a time, some stuffed in the front seat, others packed into the trunk. They obviously had been dropped off of off of a boat, perhaps on to a smaller boat, came on shore, and they were attempting to move these the marijuana bales up the cliff, over the rails.
