Nicole, what have you learned . Reporter yeah, john, Phoenix Police have identified a gunman in this case as 19yearold Maliq Thompson who is still on the run tonight. Police say he came here to this apartment complex and shot a woman several times. Now, the two know each other, and the victims coworkers are saying the victim was the gunmans mentor. Police say this person, 19yearold Maliq Thompson, tried to kill a woman thursday afternoon. The shooting happened Affordable Housing complex, where the victim, whose name is valerie, worked. Valerie is an employee of you mom new day centers, a Phoenix Organization that supports homeless and low income families. She actually worked in our Youth Program and coordinated some of our Childrens Services that we have here. Reporter at this point, a motive for the shooting has not been released. The two had a close relationship. Police say they had been romantically involved. I know she was trying to help he was not a client at you mom, nor was he a resident of carson village. He was a person known to her but not to you mom. Reporter as Police Continue to search for thompson, valerie remains in critical condition, her coworkers and the families that she helps remain concerned for her safety and recovery. Glendale police are searching tonight for two men who robbed a convenience store. They say yesterday morning the men walked into the store near 47th avenue and bethany home road with a rifle and a handgun demanding gun. They got the money then fired car. They wouldnt put a disaster sheltering area in a dangerous i have been to fires in flagstaff before, and so this will be similar, but the people are so grateful just to have anywhere to stay because they are totally lost. Reporter when he lands, lucas will report to the red cross headquarters in ontario california and will be assigned to ne of two shelters. They are really important to the people who need them, because for them its hard for us to imagine, but they have lost everything. Boy, what a scene in new jersey this morning, one person killed after a violent crash involving two city busses. This morning, one of the bus drivers killed. You can see the horrible tbone crash. 19 people taken to the hospital, no word yet on what caused this crash but investigators tend to believe that one of the drivers tried to run or beat a red light. They are examining Traffic Camera footage to find out exactly what happened. A u. S. Coast guard crew rescues two people from this small plane when it crashed and look at that, you see all of the hair coming down from the helicopter as the rescue goes down. Just an amazing sight there. Now the aircraft was making an emergency hard landing in western Broward County just before noon today. The front of the plane badly damaged in that crash but the two people on board, they were found standing on top of the craft, surrounded by nothing but swampland. Think of all of the alligators in there. It. A coast guard chopper lifting both of them to safety. Its not clear whether either of them was hurt. Ntsb will be now looking into what caused that crash. A bridge collapses as a train killing chemicals was passing over in chile. You can imagine the mess. The pictures were stunning.
