Federal lawsuit agaiait the Sioux City Community School District. North high schools previous band director resigned after stealing thousands of dollars of school instruments. In 2013, kevin massey was sentenced to three years of probation and a fiveyear suspended sentence. He pleaded guilty to theft after prosecutors lowered the charge. Plus, he was ordered to pay most 20,000 in restitution totohe School District and three pawn shops. Investigators say he stole more than 50,000 in instruments to cover gambling debts. New details are being released following a threat made friday against sheldon high school. The threat was written on a bathroom wall of the school, but officials have not revealed what the threat said. According to the Obrien County attorney, a 14yearold boy was s ken into custody on saturday. The county attorney confirmed he was a student of the high school. The boy was taken into detention. A hearing is set to determine whether he should be held in detention or released. The county Attorney Says that hearing will take place sometime before christmas. Later there will be a hearing to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the 14yearold made the threats alleged against him. So, far no charges filed against four students in connection with a School Threat in northeast nebraska. The threat, posted on facebook, forced a lockdown and evacuation of the school yesterday. The school was searched and given the all clear later in the afternoon. The four students were being held at t e northeast nebraska juveniele detentioiocenter. Schools in houston, texas were searched today after email threats were made. T Authorities Say the threat was received by the superintendent and other people in the School District. Explosives detecting dogs and extra patrols rushed to the scene last night. Everything was back to normal today.
