At the scene today to pray. The kind of man that treated everyone like family. Originally from hawaii moved to the bay area for college. He would have had a wonderful future ahead of him. He was loved and everything to look forward to as he enjoyed every moment. And the family is hoping that the witnesses will come forward to police. In the meantime theyre planning a service in San Francisco with another service and burial to follow. In hawaii at a later date. Any reaction from those who live in that neighborhood about that particular establishment and whether police have responded to other violent, not just shootings, but fights . Weve heard a little bit from neighbors and people who live in that area. Community members are planning to meet some point in the future to discuss their problem with police. I guess they want the witness to come forward. People must have seen something. Correct. There were some people around him, but some of the friends who were with him in that night had actually gone around the corner at the time when the shooting happened. No those people didnt get a good look at if there was a car or what it might have looked like. Thank you. Other headlines were following for you, killing one person, injuring a second. Authorities said today that the two victims were from the Central Valley and they met with two suspects. They didnt say what, but that they met in livermore only because it was a central location. They are searching for two suspects, but only identified one, right here 18yearold Jason Alexander brown of west oakland, also a suspect in another homicide out of fresno. A multiagency search is underway off of marin county, issuing a distress call. The National SeashoreSpokesman Says that the bay went up on the rocks finding one man live. A new warning about breakfast favorites, like ham and sausage. The World Health Organization says that the processed meats can lead to colon, stomach, and other cancer and they say that red meat is probably cancer causing as well. Still researchers would look at more than 800 studies at meat and cancer as they would say that processed meat is carcinogenic to humans. The same category as smoking. Stop smoking and eat less red meat. But the key is processed meat is the worst as we knew this, but we department know that the processing of meat is what really puts the dangerous chemicals in. Does it mean we need to give up hot dogs and hamburgers altogether . The agency didnt have enough data to define how much processed meat is too dangerous, but says that the risk grows with the amount consumed. Thats why some doctors say that it might be best to eat such foods in moderation. Until scientists know more. So it is not that all red meat is bad or that eating a hamburger is going to be causing colon cancer, but how much intake and how much overtime that it will be. Some people are now vowing to give up meat. While others say theyve got to have it. I eat meat had about once a week. If its going to give me cancer, itll give me cancer. I eat a lot of vegetables, chicken, things like that, no red meat for me. Reporter they call the new findings alarmous arguing that cancer isnt caused bay certain food, but a lifestyle and a environmental factor. In new york Laura Engel Fox news. Clean up efforts are underway along Mexicos Pacific coast after Hurricane Patricia hit land. A few deaths have been attributed to the hurricane. This storm brought heavy rain and wind gusts reaching up to 165 Miles Per Hour. Now, mexicos president says more than 3,000 homes were damaged by Hurricane Patricia. That federal roads are reopened today some 72 hours after the storm hit mexico. Well, some residents say that health has not arrived yet. Uno momento with that water and some of the electricity is cut off. Reporter now it could have been much worse as Hurricane Patricia was one of the strongest ever measured as they approach the mexican coast on friday afternoon. Chief meteorologist bill martin joins us now with a little bit more about this. By the time patricia was headed off the other side of the country like 30 Miles Per Hour winds. Only one hurricane category that has hit the Pacific Coast of mexico. This was the second. Now, it fell about 60 miles north of manzanillo as this thing went from a category one to a category five like that. Intensified rapidly. And thats what has us worried as it was huge. The main thing they were measuring, dropping drastically, basically hitting the western mexico area and just fell apart. I mean the thing fell apart in 24 hours going from 165 miles an hour winds to basically nothing. Now, whats happening is that weve got a situation where it is moving across that country. This storm, this moisture, which is kind of how they impact us, as they would fire up the specific hurricane season, right . Here is whats happening, watching them now, 72 hours later, even more all the way up in to jacksonville and out of houston. Yes. This is major moisture with their flooding in houston, they need to quit doing that with flooding in houston, seeing heavier rain towards atlanta as well and again el nino is tied to this with some big old footage that you can see the winds blowing and the thing with the hurricane that worked out well, that the eye of the hurricane was from that Radius Center about 30 miles out where that category five winds were sustained. Thats not a big hurricane eye, a large hurricane. Yeah, 30 miles out. About 60 miles. For example, oh boy, you could have 150 miles, a big, big hurricane, you know, like katrina back in the day. And this storm fell apart quickly. A lot of the times when they intensify quickly they fall apart and that is what we saw here. But what were most worried about in mexico really was the way of the structures, the flooding, the potential for massive disaster with some issues right on the coast, but it wasnt as bad, not certainly as bad as people thought it would be. Is it because it fell apart so quickly or because tens of thousands of people evacuated with some 1,200 shelters set up or because they would hunker down and got away . A combination . They also missed the big cities too, coming north of manzanillo. You didnt go right over Puerto Vallarta or some of the bigger cities. It just dodged that big serious area. But this hurricane, i think what strikes everybody is its intestification, how quickly it grew and how it became the strongest hurricane on record. The other parts of the pacific have been stronger. But the fact that it grew so quick. If you look at that typography that it is night and day. Yes, gaining steam in the gulf. And it hit the mountains. Those winds hit the mountain with a friction that develops and the storms fall apart very quickly. Whereas you come through new orleans and youre flat and you could go flat for 100 miles. Storm surge could get in along this, they wont have that same ability to move far inland. Right now were impacted with at least a heavy rain moving throughup through raleigh moving up through raleigh, washington. As this moisture moves up there will be some travel concerns for boston, washington, and raleigh, a storm that keeps giving three days later, four days later and it is already flooding in other parts of the country. Right, thanks, bill. The markets fell today in our money monday segment. Breaking down the reason why the market collection after the huge summer. Well explain how it impacts your money. Outside our doors, dry and mild today, increasing clouds by tomorrow and perhaps some rain on wednesday. I will have your numbers and break down the change in the pattern coming up. Target got a whole lot of attention for getting rid of genderbased baby sections, being plodded again for including a little being applauded again for including this little girl wearing the big seller, elsas dress frozen getting a whole lot of you talking on the facebook page. Tell us what you think on our facebook page. You can see a pretty big backup in their southbound direction. There has been an alert issued. Getting one of the main exits there for the oakland airport. Their northbound direction obviously flying by at this time that they will keep you up to speed on that story along the minutes. Time now is 4 10. Youre watching four on 2. It was late august as markets were down some 10 with a market collection, but now youre back with us saying that things are back to normal as you would call it, quite all right. Lets say that they will be back to where they would begin in that year and i dont know what it is, but actually that corrections, they are normal. Back to normal in the sense of the markets being recovered on schedule. And what lessons did you learn when it comes to their account . You think oh my gosh, what do you want to do . The main lesson that people need to learn is that these corrections are like weather, you know, that your weather man was just on, we have storms, they happen. As you cannot panic like we said to you on the show, talking about this during it all that you cannot panic. The reason is that it is a normal pattern for their markets. If you begin to react to it by getting out that you will really cause yourself a lot of heartburn down the road. Reporter what are some takeaways. When do you Pay Attention and ignore . The key is that you need to have a portfolio that will allow you to pay no attention to corrections to use your portfolio to be set up so you dont think about it, a part of the key. If you dont have a lot of risky things going on, like the individual stocks, rounding their expensive funds, then you are going to worry when you have a correction, as you may not recover. And that people, they are from that balance, when they have those portfolios that were built like all weather vehicles that we dont really worry about it with a lot of reason to worry if you are not prepared for these things. So having it set up a certain way . Right. If you need that help, contact the Financial Advisor or try to figure it out online . Right. But here is the key as corrections happen every single year. The last couple of years, they have occurred half of those years. Okay. When they happen, correction means that from the height of the market goes down greater than 10 , but that you cannot respond to them that you just need to sort of ride them out. Because if you try to respond, the markets move so fast. Like in the last 20 years if you missed the biggest 30day moves in the market and instead of getting a 9 return youll have under 1 . So you cannot try to do this in a timing fashion. But what happened if you are so young in your 20s, 30s, 40s, what if you are closer to retirement the late 50s and the 60s and you are seeing these corrections happen. Of course they say to put more bonds, but the things that people forget about. Its your money, its your retirement. The reason that people are holder and tend to older and tend to relax about this is that youve been riding it a few times. You havent lost money. If you own the u. S. Entire market, then you are really saying is the u. S. Falling apart . If the u. S. Is 5 less this week than last week then you lost 5 . If your house is down because were in a recession. Have you lost money on your house . No, it is just the flow of the market. The flow, dont be emotional, make sure that your portfolio is balanced. Yeah, dont own stocks. All the time investors, dont start picking stocks. Buy big index funds. And that is how you protect yourself. Because the u. S. Economy has never fallen off on a correction and never recovered. The u. S. Economy always recovers. The managing director of rebalance ira, mitch thank you. Thanks, keba. Mike there in the weather. Thank you very much.
