Badge and credentials. Happened this morning. The burglar took guns from the locked f. B. I. Vehicle. Authorities are asking residents to check their vehicles for evidence. This is the latest in a series of breakins where guns be longing to local, state and federal officers have been stolen from their cars. The most serious incident of course is the july killing of kay styley at pier 14 in San Francisco with a gun belonging to a federal bureau of Land Management ranger. The gun was allegedly fired by a man in the country illegally. No officer wants to have their gun taken away and to be used in the future and it is horrendous and guilt that they have to live with. If we could take the extra precaution, if you cant take it with you, put it in a locked container and make sure it is secure and the container is locked in the vehicle. Another incident in august. Police chief Margo Bennett had her gun, badge and diamond ring and Electronics Taken as she went jogging at Lake Isabelle and five days later a hayward officer assigned to a Regional Task force had his gun stolen. Another officer had his gun stolen in San Francisco south of market and found with a man on probation. Now officers that have their on duty weapons can face sanctions but not so clear when the off duty weapons are stolen. What do we know about the protocol in the f. B. I. When leaving your weapons in the vehicle. What about leaving them in the first place even if the vehicle is locked. We know not to leave valuables in a car locked or unlocked. Whether sanctions are possible against this ag or employee remain to be seen. Henry lee in the newsroom. The recent rains caused a giant oak tree to come crashing down in walnut street. The husband and wife were asleep inside and not hurt. The homeowner noticed the tree was leaning earlier and she called the city and an arborist was scheduled to inspect the tree today. Lets check in with our meteorologist mark ibanez. More and more reports. More records of just things changing out there with the trees down and storm damage. Todays system not a big deal. The focus, the rainfall has been up to the north. Peta luma. 34 and San Francisco. 1200 of an inch and the rain showers picking up throughout the afternoon hours in San Francisco. Now concord and oakland a few hundredths of an inch and more rain showers this evening. Here is the live camera towards the golden gate bridge. Lots of fog and looking at the windshield wipers. Looking at the rare and look at the cars coming inbound and the windshield wipers going on and we have the mist wetting the roadway. Rain moving from north to south in this direction and that trend will continue for the evening. Here is a closer look at the radar. Well dive in deeper. San francisco and oakland. Maybe moderate cells for the east bay and san leandro and hayward. And back the maps out and show you more activity near the peninsula approaching the south bay and closer to a wood side. San mateo and sf o and hillsborough. More showers for saturday morning and tracking a system that will take an unusual path for the weekend. An hour ago the San Diego Chargers announced that they will stay in san diego to play the 2016 season in an attempt to find a longterm stadium solution in that city. But the team is keeping its options open. Earlier they reached an agreement with the rams to share a stadium in ingle wood and san diego has until january 15th of 2017 to exercise a one year option to move to la. That leaves the door open for the raiders to potentially move to los angeles and all of this happening while mark davis in las vegas talking about a potential move for the Oakland Raiders in a billion dollars dome stadium. To be built. Right. And they would share it. If that doesnt happen and the chargers dont go to ingle wood. Maybe they will share it with the rams. And the mayor of brooklyn is doing oakland is doing her best to keep them here. The countdown in iowa as the president ial candidate vy for votes with three days left for the caucuses. Ross palombo has more. The debate, please. The debates against every civil right. If you were watching last night you heard the same old, same old. To hear her new take on the same old, same old. Seen on display at last nights display. Not in the room. The elephant without donald trump 7 candidattook each other on. If you ask one more mean question i may have to leave the stage. Ted cruz and marco rubio. Blanket amnesty. I dont support that. And candidates were talking about it. He tried to tell people he hadnt changed his position. He is running for president so he is not going say nice thing. Rubio may have been the winner based on search data but their tracking is showing donald trump still on top followed by ted cruz. We have seen now in six years of obama care that it has been a disaster. Repeal the Affordable Health care. Defund planned parenthood. That contrast, the picture that clinton was trying to bring in. It is a never ending litany of what is wrong. Im telling you what i think i can do. What i think i can get done that will make a real difference in peoples lives. But nearly half of the people, 40 still arent convinced. Especially the young student she was trying to reach here. Still undecided . Yes. And now tonight. Getting ready to go caucus. All Hillary Clinton can do is hope. Thank you all so much. Thank you. In the meantime breaking for Hillary Clinton just a short time. The state department coming out saying that 22 of her emails contain classified information and 7 have top secret information and the state department is being very clear that at the time that Hillary Clinton sent them the information was not satisfied. Lets talk about last night. You were there and watched it live and your biggest take away from last night and did anything surprise you without mr. Donald trump not being there . Reporter well, i was surprised that they really focused on him at the beginning. I thought they were going to brush over that. They didnt say too much about him later in the debate. The candidate had more time and surprising to see how much more time marco rubio. Maybe people are saying he was the big winner. In fact the debate partner, google says that online it seems that people did think that rubio made the big impression. Bernie sanders is driving home his impression with growing income and equality and speak at a town hall meeting at Iowa Wesleyan College today. I believe it is unamerican. Unsustainable and poor economics that we are living in the Richer Country on earth and it is worse today since 1928. Polls close the race varies tight between clinton and sanders. Brian is going to talk more politics. Thanks for being here. Cant get enough of this. My goodness, lets talk the ratings. Everybody was wondering, donald trump was saying im going to win and they had 12. 5 Million People watch foxs debate last night. If you compare c nn and csnbc together. They were covering donald trump debate with 7. 2 million viewers. The biggest debate, 25 million. 12. 5. What is your take on that . I think people are still interested in what the republicans are saying and it was a trumps will debate. But i think it allowed the other people on the stage to really shine in their own way. Last night after the debate i thought rubio had scored well and thats what the numbers are showing. You know it doesnt sometimes the content is not the only thing. Cruz was the subject of the attack because he is theoretically in 2nd place. A showdown that we have never seen in iowa without the frontrunner says that it did seem that ted cruz had the target on him. No question. Absolutely. And you know for all of the criticism of fox from time to time i thought that was the best moderated debate of all of them. Well done. It was well done and they push the back on the candidate including with video and with other things and it was compelling and im sure they had a package ready for trump too. A lot of good stuff. It was being said that rubio is the republican obama. It is going to get tougher and thats the rough tumble as you come up to election time. Youre going to see this in iowa and New Hampshire and South Carolina a battleground state and nevada. You will see it ramping up and you have seen it. Sanders has upgunned his ad against Hillary Clinton. It is just par for the course. Immigration became a big topic last night. What did you think about bush and rubio. Who won and some analysts saying bush looked stronger. Is that because donald trump was not there . No, he has gotten better and it may be a case of too little too late. He had a good debate and he was the measure of marco rubio going headtohead with him. No problem with that. A little humor. Yes and reference to his mom and all of that kind of thing. And so i think all of that worked out well for him. I thought john kaisch did a good job. Tons of content out of him but they cant seem to rest sa resonate. Caucuses are different. Yes. Back and forth and what dot candidate do the next 48 hours . Do you two after the people that support you because you know they will be in the conferences and get in the other supporters to come to the site or go to the people that dont know. You have to go to the undecided. But you know politics is interesting thing. People want face time with you and even though they may be committed to you, they want you to ask for your vote. A really tough thing for a candidate. Anybody that has been a candidate understands that you want to go get new people but you have got to hold the people that have committed to you. Does donald trump take a loss because he didnt debate . No. When is iowa, the democrat and republican side . I think on the democrat, sanders. Okay. And then trump on the republican side. For iowa . Yes. Brian solo, thank you. The Iowa Caucuses on monday. Ross polumbo will be there. We are talking to a lawmaker with a new idea to level the paying field when it comes to women. And in weather tracking rain showers in parts of the bay area. Lots of clouds and mist. Coming up a Second System for one part of the weekend and the part of the state that will pick up the significant rainfall. And we are counting down to the big game. Took me an hourandahalf to get home courtesy of a couple of accidents. 680, northbound, not looking good. Southbound going the right direction if you are headed towards san jose. The 4 on 2. We will be right back. Theres a new effort in sacramento to even the Playing Field when it comes to worker pay for women and men. Pay advocates say one way that employers can pay women less is by asking them a question, how much did you make at your last job. South bay woman nora compo has legislation that would prohibit employers from asking that question as well as open up the dialogue about pay. With us is nora compost that joins us via skype. Thanks for being with us. Thank you for having me. If we can start with that question. What did you make at your last job, why or even how can that question qualify as gender discrimination . Well, we know that when women enter the work force they enter at a particular salary and never seem to catch up to men. If an employer continues to ask a woman what her previous salary is, that is where they negotiate versus figuring out what her skill set is and basing her qualifications on her education and her skill set. So it is 50 years since the equal pay act came into play and 7 years since president obama signed the Lilly Leadbetter pay fair act and soon with that, you say california women need more project and tell us about the Assembly Bill at 1676. What this bill will do is it will prohibit an employer to ask a woman or individual their previous salary and that will force the employer to basically think about the qualifications for that individual and review their qualifications based on the skill set for that job. We have to remember that currently right now you are right, it has been 7 years. Women currently, latino women make 44 cents to the white male doctor and africanamerican women makes 64 cents to the dollar and white women make 78 cents to the dollar. We are never going to close the wage gap if we continue to go at this pace. So we need to be at the forefront and be bold and we need to have california lead the nation and that means that we need to ask that employers, make it a law that they cant ask women what their previous salary is and basically start working with their skill sets. Their education. And really what the job entitles. And tell us what kind of support ab1676 has right now and ways next for the bill . The next thing is theres so much buzz and women come up to me and the thing is that you dont have only women but you have everyone because people think that this is something that can be used against the board for everyone. Whether you are older, whether you are a person of color. But my focus is to make sure that we close the wage gap for women. It is going to committees and as soon as i can get it out of the assembly, it will go to the senate and im confident we will get it out of both houses and go to the governors desk to be signed. But we still have a long road ahead of us and it is not going to be an easy battle but i think that it is time and california needs to lead the nation in this bill. Okay. We will keep a close eye on ab1676, thank you so much for being with us nora. Thank you. Mike and mark. Thank you keba. I had to give my credentials at the nfl experience. Quiet. I had the rain. All of the umbrellas were out. Windshield wipers going. Yes, 1 30 this afternoon. And it can be a challenge. We have the raindrops and if you think of a sponge it is like have you a lot of moisture but no dynamics. But we have the rain showers moving in and moderate at times and heavy in some isolated spots. Focus has been up along the north coast and they pick up rainfall amounts on one to two inches and here is a closer look. Still rain showers out there as we do push in and light rain reports and oakland as you can see here in the east bay for hayward and san ramon and san leandro and we are not completely dry and we will hold onto the possibility of rain showers for your evening hours. Here we go with san mateo and east pal alto and Half Moon Bay and some activities and theres the latest update, the radar showing you the latest image. Current numbers 50s and 60s. On the warm side of the system on the southern edge and as a result mild temperatures and san jose 58 and San Francisco 56 and bee are expecting tomorrow morning mostly cloudy skies and a chance of a shower and the main activity to the south and still enough moisture to keep the umbrella on stand by saturday morning. That shows up here in the san jose forecast. 6 00 a. M. 50s and sky cast showing clouds and a few showers so early on saturday morning. Holding on to that chance. In the afternoon by lunchtime the sun cloud mix 57 degrees and as we wrap up the afternoon and go to the evening we are expecting partly cloudy skies and 52 degrees with your south bay forecast. Active storm pattern in the pacific and diving in for saturday and sunday. First we have todays deal and another one to approach the coastline on sunday. You see the jet stream traced here and the chance it could miss the bay area. The brunt and head down towards Southern California and the forecast models have been uncertain in terms of the exact track of the system on sunday. For sunday a chance of showers with mostly cloudy skies and then into sunday, the forecast models bringing the rain and the cold front to the south and close enough to the Bay Area Holding onto the chance of showers especially in the southern half of the region towards the south bay and the winds will pick up, a wind advisory kick in on sunday. Especially on sunday evening. Forecast models 7 00 and holding on to showers saturday morning and saturday morning at 7 00 clouds and throughout the afternoon hours, poorly to mostly cloudy skies and watch what happens. The Second System onshore and the highest chance for the south bay neighborhoods and bringing in the chance for the entire neighborhood for sunday morning and scale back for the afternoon. In the sierra, we have a winter storm warning and raining but snow levels dropping for saturday and we are expecting six to 12inches, here is another look. It snuck into the sequence and you get the idea. The rain moving on shore into the sunday forecast. Primarily south of the bay area and who have to keep an eye on monday. Monday could be dry. Temperatures for tomorrow. Lots of 50s and cooling off in the fiveday forecast. Mike and keba keep the umbrella on stand by, we fine tune that sunday forecast for next week and maybe more rain showers by wednesday. I should get a bigger umbrella. Get one. You can always wear a hood. All right. We know the pricing of housing in the bay area is skyrocketing but how does that compare to the cost of the big game. Our real estate expert wondered about that and he joins us to tell us when when we return. First friday night in San Francisco since the street closures started. A live picture from our photographer jacob ungers camera in the truck with john suzuki. We will chat with them in 15 minutes. Headed towards market and takes off to the bay bridge. A lot of red lights and slow going. Alike look at the nfl experience. Taking shape there south of market. I was out there and looking great. And it should be a fun experience. Superbowl big business and how does this stack up against the bay areas exploding Housing Market . Matt joins us live via skype. Where did you get this idea, matt . I was trying to figure a way to tie real estate to the superbowl and i was thinking about the prices and i happened to be at the board of realtors and
