But the new recommendations are telling women to screen at 45 and this will come after weighing the benefits and their harm for younger women. The message is clear that the mammograms would save lives. But the new recommendations, they say that they should start screenings later in life to get fewer of them. What we realize is the area that they will be very clear and that there will be other areas with the tradeoff. We would recommend starting the regular screening at age 45. The evidence, they clearly show you that there is substantial magnitude of their benefits, compared to the risk of the false positive biopsy and their additional images, or overdiagnosis. Center women should start getting the mammograms instead of 40 and switch to every other year when they would turn 55. This is similar to what the Preventive Services task force would recommend, starting at 50. And they do acknowledge that they save the most lives at 40. They are concerned that the new recommendations, they will give you a wrong message to women. I want to make sure that they understand that the risk that youre wearing is survival, verses coming back for a few extra pictures. Reporter the recommendations, they give women a choice.
