Its seven years behind on deliveries to the new york mta costing that system an extra 50 million to maintain the older cars. Its Train Division was replaced for failure to deliver london a half billion dollar train control system on time and budget. Its Aircraft Division is in serious financial trouble. We were unable to reach bombardier for comment or clarification, but the bart car delivery schedule seems to be worrisome at best. Its a bit disappointing. I think the bay area prides itself on being cutting owning and fast moving and forward thinking. I would like to see that reflected in our public transport. Many companies have gone forward and continue to work while they are in a state of financial distress or even bankruptcy but the reality of the situation here is we just dont know. We do know that this company does have its problems, and the question is what assurances have bart gotten from these people to make sure that the schedule is maintained. Firefighters say the man was on a highway when a huge rock fell 40 feet. The impact caused the driver to lose control and crashed into a tree. It went this the passenger side window and hit him in the shoulder. That caused him to lose control. It was a good size rock, and it was a solid rock. There wasnt any mud to the. Very fortunate. It went right through the passenger side window. Just remarkable. Firefighters say incredibly the driver only suffered a minor shoulder injury Sonoma County got hit with heavy rains. Berkeley Police Officers and firefighters visited dublin, ireland last week where they were honored for their handling of last junes deadly balcony collapse in berkeley. In San Francisco, Tara Moriarty, ktvu fox 2 news. A bay area charity is coming to the aid of a 16year old boy whose custom made bike was stolen. We first brought you the story of 16yearold ramon last friday night. The san jose teen has a rare genetic disorder similar to cerebral palsy. Its affected his ability to walk, talk, and move. His family says that bike gave him a sense vin dependens. Variety Childrens Charity which had the 6,000 bike built especially for ramon says it is now raising money to have another one built. The charity says its also going to help the family find a more secure place to store the bike. Remember that little pig that made headlines after she got loose and ran wild near dolores park in San Francisco . She has now found a new home. That is janice, the pig. Shes been adopted by an animal sanctuary. Shes so cute. Its Sonoma County reptile. Little tail wagging. San francisco animal care and control had been housing the pig and today gave her a send off party. A francis can friar who was nearby was among those who said goodbye today. There were 187 injury accidents last year as compared to 136 in 2013, and just 126 back in 2011. In fact, 2015 was the most dangerous year they have recorded in the last 15. So there is an increase in the injury clightsz for 2015, and that is the highest since 1999. So its definitely pause for that before thinking about it and trying to figure out how we will add ju.
