A nineyearold girl from the bay area remains in Critical Condition after a freak accident in a Swimming Pool that killed her father. James tramel, a tech executive was with his family in brings in palm springs when he noticed his daughter turning blue in a Swimming Pool. He jumped in the pool to save her and was electrocuted. Nonetheless, its a far cry from when the governor visited this same spot a year ago to find zero snow as the overall state snowpack back then was just a paltry 5 of normal. Its better than we were. We are better in the north and then he declining percent of average as we move to the south. But it still below average. Reporter the fact is there is about as much snow and water content here as there was at the beginning of the month. That is not a good sign if you are looking for more rain and more snow to break the drought. We have given up on the season. The likelihood of major storm activity is virtually nonexistent. Reporter so while it will be good for the reservoirs and water flows, water delivery to farms and talents will still be curtailed and dark beetle infestation and other drought aggravated environmental conditions will remain problematic. The conservation measures will still be important because again, we dont know what next year is going to be. We have this magnificent el nino this year that put us in a really good position for rainfall but what happens next year is you dont get two el nino patterns in a row. Would probably happens is a cool, up well will occur. We will get a la nina, which adds up to cooler than average temperatures and less rainfall. I think our chances of seeing an el nino again next year are slim to none. The chances of a la nina are pretty good. If you are traveling nationwide tomorrow, here is what youve got. Protesters and witnesses have argued that clark was handcuffed and on the ground when he was shot. The mayor asked for calm in the wake of todays decision. He jumps the pharmacy counter, shows the technician a knife and got away with it with about 3200 xanax and hydrocodone pills. President obama commuted the prison sentences of 61 drug offenders today. More than one third of those offenders are serving life sentences for nonviolent drug crimes. Most of the 61 inmates will be released by the end of july. The move brings the total number of inmates with shortened sentences to 68. President obama has been calling for an overhaul of the system arguing that some mandatory sentencing laws go too far. A dog picked up him stolen from a San Francisco store on video. The last picture of the dog and upper shows just what he was wearing and dog napper and what he was wearing at the time. The owner was in the store and turned around and all of a sudden his dog was gone and he couldnt find his dog named catfish. Reporter this is catfish. He is five years old. Have to [laughter] and hospital half chihuahua and half poodle. They were able to pull some Surveillance Video and found a suspect had stolen the dog and walked out with him. Reporter here is a picture. He was wearing a red shirt and camouflage tight pants. He was last seen with the dog in his hands. Technically, the dog was not allowed in the store. Its unclear if catfish had tags or a microchip. The dog also wasnt on a leash expect the dog was Walking Around freely. Reporter i asked if it was possible that the man in the video simply thought catfish was a loose dog but they say he never approached the store clerks and no one has called in to report a stolen dog missing dog.
