Its something many dont Pay Attention<\/a> to until its pointed out to them. The big threat is dead and dying trees. A state Task Force Said<\/a> there were 22 million dead trees around our state. Now less than a year later, the number has tripled to 66 million dead trees. Experts say the drought is combining to kill off the trees. Its so amazing to see how fast they go. These trees went dead like that in probably less than a months time. The dead trees of course could fall on homes, causing a lot of damage, and when a fire breaks out, they give the flames more fuel to burn. Homeowners may be reluctant to have dead or dying trees removed. Thats a lot cheaper than having to replace a home thats badly damaged or destroyed by wildfire. Toxic algae has reportedly shown up in more than 40 of the states lakes and waterways. Thats the highest count in state history, and right here in the bay area. Lake cunningham in san jose are among the areas closed because of algae. According to reports, the drought has a lot to do with the recent increase. Demetrius cells had been in and out of john george for years on psychiatric medication since the age of 14. Suffering paranoia, schizophrenia, ptsd and hallucinations. He suffered child abuse and acted out with assaultive behavior, leading to time in Juvenile Hall<\/a> and san quentin for attempted murder, robbery, battery, assault, and other charge. In may of 2015 he overdosed on the Prescription Drug<\/a> abilify telling his brother he wanted to kill himself. His brother called 911. He wanted to harm his brother for calling 911, he wanted to die. He said he wanted to kill him, didnt he . Yes. Demetrius didnt want to go to john george. He had been there before on a 5150 hold meaning he was a threat to himself or others. Patient asking for skiing resources but does not want to go to john george. Needs more out patient support than inpatient admission and becomessage stated. Becomes agitated. His mother says john george shouldnt have ignored these facts. Medical logs show when he arrived at Highland Hospital<\/a> at 3 00 a. M. , he was restrained for unpredictable and aggressive behavior. By 4 00 a. M. , he was calm. By 7 00 a. M. , it was noted there was no need for restraints. 45 minutes later, he was cleared for release. He spent less than nine hours in treatment before he was set free. They wrecked lives. They made a life altering mistake, not a decision when they let demetrius go. 8 days later after doctors noted he threatened to kill his brother, demetrius allegedly stabbed his brother once in the chest, piercing kevins heart. Cheryl went to identify her sons body. I told him i was sorry. Kevins remains are in this urn. Demetrius is in the san derita jail, facing a murder trial. You cant bring kevin back. Ill never know what he might become. Ill never know demetrius and kevins full potential. Reporter she says her son should be charged with manslaughter, not murder. Displace mistakes. That was ken wayne reporting. Alameda mental officials had a duty to warn kevin about the potential threat to his life under a california statute but the family was not contacted. One teenager is dead and two others seriously hurt after a high speed chase in Sonoma County<\/a> yesterday morning. They reported seeing a white car driving about 95 Miles Per Hour<\/a> and exiting at blossom hill road. When investigators arrived, they found the car and slammed into a tree, and that tree toppled over the car killing iola. Deputies will start wearing body cameras tomorrow. The department bought 85 cameras. The first year of the program will cost about 200,000. The sheriff says the use of body cameras will help allow for a clear understanding of incidents and help enhance community trust. The San Francisco<\/a> family thats rented the same home for 20 years has Community Support<\/a> to fight an election. Leslie ramirez held a protest outside the home of her landlord. She has lived in a rent controlled Single Family<\/a> home with her parents for more than twenty years now. But she says the landlord wants her out so she can raise the rent. Hes moving his daughter into the home so he can reclaim the home. Ramirez says finding a similar rental for a price a family could afford would be impossible, and says any kind of move would be extremely difficult for her parents. This is the home we know. My parents are seniors but for them to relocate and begin their lives somewhere new, where they can actually afford housing is not possible. Ramirez says her family is not the only one facing the situation. She says several landlords have had relatives move into property in her neighborhood to get around rent control laws.
