Golden State Warriors will soon be on the hardwood. Well go back to the warriors practice facility in oakland. Mike mibach standing by with more on the dubs and the season. Everybody looking forward to it, a lot of expectations for this squad, mike. A lot of expectations, they want another nba title, especially since they signed kevin durant. Guess whos behind me doing a couple of photo shoots, is durant himself, he came out about 15 minutes ago, first he met up with steph curry, took about 5 minutes of photos together, which is great, and now hes making his way to this area where all the players, not just kevin are doing kind of little tricks with the basketball. This is stuff theyll use throughout the season. You know, a lot of eyes on durant who is, you know, officially slated to talk to the media in about an hour. A lot of folks curious how this team will adjust to playing with durant, and if it will change the roles of players on the team. A lot of people curious about what kevin is going to have to say, and a lot of folks in the bay area, and i think im guilty of this. The regular season out of the way, and steph curry, who addressed the media, just about 30 minutes ago, we teased that in the last hit, he said no way, we cant do that. He says this team needs to get a flow together, needs to practice together. Nice shot, by the way. Appreciate that. We also asked kevin or steph, i should say about his thoughts of playing with this man here. Excessive kevin durant, and how hes going kevin durant and how hes going to fit into the system. He does it all sort of ways. In our offense, where we got to where we are as a team, is about ball movement,
Player Movement of flow, a rhythm to it. Theres not a lot of standing. Not a lot of one on one kind of stuff, so thinking about how hell transition into it, he can do all of that at a very high level. He can pass, he can move it out the ball. I think he understands, hes a very high basketball iq when it comes to where he needs to be on the floor, and how he can work off other guys, and i know he wants to play the game the right way. You know, hearing that come from his mouth, that fits in right to our identity. Back live now, inside the warriors practice facility, again, kevin durant on the left, and if we pan to the right, theres draymond green. Its kind of surreal seeing these guys together as he was standing next to steph curry, 5 or 10 minutes ago. Just a couple more thoughts before we send it back to you, in regards to steph curry, he did say when he was back in the states in the olympics, he was cheering on his teammates, obviously but does not regret his decision not to play in the olympics for the u. S. Basketball team, and also we asked him about specifically
Colin Kaepernick and he says he has a lot of respect for kaepernick, and that when it comes to game time, steph curry will stand for the anthem. Well send it back to you. Interesting.
