This is going to continue as you get through the afternoon. Right now jacksonville reporting a gust about 50 Miles Per Hour but of course could be picking up as it moves just sa little bit closer. The storm surge expected to be extremely high in and around areas from florida all the way into South Carolina. Its going to be another 24 to 36 hours or so before we really get an idea of all the damage being done. As this continues to move towards the north its expected to hug right along the coastline. This is what we are expecting as we get into the weekend. So later today moving right along the georgia coastline into saturday morning early saturday you can see right there off of South Carolina right about charleston, perhaps even making landfall. This is going to change a bit as it gets closer. Well continue to track it. Then as we get into saturday afternoon it moves into areas right along North Carolina perhaps just brushing oak island before it moves offshore as we get into sunday and then into monday. Happening now the first of three sweet week air shows happening on the skreevenlt this is some of what we saw when the blue angels were practicing over San Francisco bay yesterday. And just a short time ago the parade of ships wrapped up. Live now at fort point where people packed the shoreline for a glimpse of those military vessels. What a treat for everyone who came down here to fort point. First off we have an absolutely gorgeous day on tap here in San Francisco. You couldnt ask for Better Weather here. This is the scene. And a short time ago you had a ton of people, they packed the shoreline to get a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge and watch the parade of ships as they all sailed into the bay area. Everything got started 11 00 this morning. Before that it was kicked off by San Franciscos boat three which sprayed water into the air and created a nice little rainbow. It was a beautiful shot. That was followed up by the uss san diego. And you can see the sailors standing at attention saluting the bay area as they arrived here. The crowd got a look at a Canadian Military ship, and one of the people here on hand watching the parade of ships was a navy veteran from sunnyvale. And i asked him what those Service Members might be thinking arriving here for fleet week. Theyre probably relieved that theyre coming into port. And probably want to get off the ship as quick as possible. I love this. Every year it just kind of brings a tear to your eye. I think its kind of emotional. And i think San Francisco needs this. I know a lot of people wish the blue angels werent flying. But it really makes you proud. And those sometimes noisy blue angels will be taken to the skies this afternoon for their First Official air show during fleet week. Yesterday the navy stunt team went airborne for some practice flights warming up this weekend. Their performances will be today tomorrow and sunday. It should be a perfect weekend weather wise it would seem. It looks so pretty. And for everyone heading down there if you have the option to take bart or other mass transit and walk to where you are do it. Because parking will be very expensive or nonexistent. I would really recommend that. I was looking around while we were spending some time this morning shooting some stuff. And i was thinking i wonder where everyone is going to park. Theres not really a designated parking lot. You dont arrive and they usher you into a parking lot. Youre sort of on your own if you drive over there. So i would really recommend taking public transportation. Its worth it once you get there. Those blue angels going up in just about three hours. This is a life picture from the oakland airport. Where they are waiting to take off. Im excited to see them i think ill grab the children and get out there later this afternoon. I know they always enjoy it.
